Ebay Fee s
If I may put my ten pence in.
As we have found with our web site if you use the Paypal link to pay for something or make a donation we have found they take 10% off everytime.
BUT
If instead you do not use this direct facility but go into your paypal account and send someone the money (NOT AS EBAY GOODS) Then they charge you precisely nothing !!!!.
We make as much use of this loophole as we can but I wonder how long it will be before paypal close it ???

These dredgers may not find too many aircraft carriers – but they may find the remains of the Ward Room piano which was “fired” from the steam catapult by some aircraft carrier just before it Paid Off. I was always told that the Captain – in full gold-braid uniform, and complete with sword – brought the sword down with a flourish. The steam catapult was fired, and the piano arced up into the air and then fell into the Oggin. There is, I believe, some footage somewhere of this Fishead tribal ceremony!
HTH
ResmorohPS Just “aviation” in that the piano was actually airborne – but nobody was ‘flying’ it.
Pity it was’nt a violin because it could then have been A Strato Various :D:D:D:D

If its anything like the last two long term GRP gate guards that have been in circulation in recent years (ex TDL ?)We had the misfortune to end up having to carry out extensive work on both. They tend to be very thin in the rear fuselage ,in the correct light on the last one we had you could see from inside out through the roundel and it had Ply reinforcing bulkheads not very securely within. And the wing attachment area left a lot to be desired.
I think the ones we had the owners picked them up for £6k and £8k respectively but that is about 4 years ago. When you consider you can go to GB replicas and get a complete brand new one built for around £30k an elderly thin one at £20k plus is perhaps overvalued somewhat.

with respect I know a lot of background and history with Hooton and Elvington and the other locations mentioned.I think that perhaps as it is a very emotional subject and things can be said in the heat of the moment that as Bruce has said generalization should be the theme and not specifics as from past experience it can inflame situations or re kindle bad feeling or even wake up something that had been put to bed so to speak and history good or bad.
Its a subject to air and it shows human nature and that not everyone agrees all of the time but perhaps some of the time. And that Aviation can be a bit of a wolf and sheep world and not all people are what they may seem or their motives may differ greatly or change to suit their own ends over a period of time.
Everyone has a view point and no two people will ever agree 100% on something even though at times they may seem to .
Must go Persil want this box back :D:D:D:D:D

I think we should let them get on with it and hopefully either Steve or Peter can be persuaded to give us updates every so often as other projects are doing .

paperwork is not an issue there was no paperwork as such for the others flying in the uk PLUS they are registered LAA because of their AUW being so low even though they have a brute of an engine and awsome performance.

When we shifted them all at Woodford we had all the proper transit stands and everything wish we had them now.The wings used to go in one pair of stands wing tip to root end upright. The pods had three support stands and the booms and tail had their own stands.

Not last autumn it wasn’t. It has been off site for over year with just the wings left at the museum pending transportation. I know, ‘cos I shifted it!
Hi Johnny did you shift the wings together with the gear down or one at a time ? so I know for my lorry man. There is some thought about folding the gear but I thought that might actually make it a wide load ??( 11feet and a bit ??).
