that would seem to eliminate at least three of the Crofton entries suggested so far.

its been re advertised a few times on evil bay sorry to say I know the owner may have put a lot of money into it but we are buying full aircraft that can potentially fly for that sort of money. The money is not out there to cover these sorts of investment.Sadly to sell it he is going to have to think about a price nearer half what he is asking to get any serious interest I would suggest.
Good for Goodwood for the 75th Anniversary. A pity that Duxford could not have emulated last year’s 16 Spits at Legends for the Anniversary. But one way and another we have had wonderful fill of them in the last couple of years. Roll on 2012 for the Mk 1 appearances!!:)
Yes I could not work out why Duxford was heralded in their air show as 75th anniversary of the Spitfire and yet only seven flew and two stayed in the hangars .Even the mk1 was rolled out to sit on the line even though it did not fly because it was still on its flight test program.:confused::confused:
On the subject of engraving, I’d be a bit wary of paying too much for this (same well known seller as of the Merlin rocker cover):-
Over many years he hasn’t changed much just his prices:diablo::diablo::diablo:
Nope – its being sold by the same seller.
Bruce
Well I suppose there is nowt like being cheeky if at first it don’t sell try again if at second it don’t sell raise the price by £200 so does he really want to sell it I must ask ???:diablo::diablo::diablo::diablo:

I couldnt obtain a front screen and my attempts to amke one were a disaster so i bought a GRP one from GateguardsUK who also supplied the perspex.
However my fuselage just (hopefully) looks like a Spitfire and yours is built as per original.
Any chance you can check for me the angle between the canopy rail and the front hoop. I suspect I may need to make some adjustments, so that my canopy will fit.
Would be interested on the details for that Robert if you would be kind enough to PM with them I have patterns for the side perspex that you are more than welcome to borrow to compare them with as I said to you on our last meeting you only have to ask and if we have it its available.
regards
