Have not got a clue dear boy as to its identity or its origins other than obviously its a Delfin.
I understand the owner aquired it from a well know auction site some time ago in not so good condition and it has been trailer mounted etc since. We have been doing some minor mods to it today to support the rear canopy when it slid back. If anyone knows where we might find some ID we will have a look next time its with us.
Did hear a rumour it might have been used for cockpit shots in the James Bond Film but no one seems to know either way.

Hi Beermat
The drawings in the Airfix article will/should give you the rib spacings and the cord lengths. With the aid of the NACA aerofoil number you should be able to re-create them.
If you send me a PM with your email address I’ll scan them and send them to you over the weekend.
Paul
Hi Paul
you could send me a copy over if you dont mind as I am gathering most of it as we are the ones going to be cutting metal in deepest darkest North Yorkshire.

We have some excellent machine shop guys doing stuff for us and they tell me they can get cast stuff done also if it warrants it ?.I assume by that either size or quantity.I know they are currently producing Blower casings for Griffons for the tractor pulling fraternaty BUT as always with our stuff guys sorry NOT FOR FLIGHT as ther is no paperwork hence the low costs.Even have a damn good blasting shop up the road who are very carefull and very keen on price if anyone needs any grit blasting doing and they will even coat afterwards for you if you wish.
Nothing like sharing.Might be a thought if someone pulls a register together where those of us like minded can get stuff done.A bit like a supplier or services directory I suppose a bit like an enthusiasts version of yellow pages ?. And no we are to busy to do it other than contribute to it.But I have noticed recently different posts for guys wanting to know where to find certain things or get certain materials etc . Food for thought for someone with time on their hands and computer literate ??
Mike
Whilst you are at it how about a price for a static P-51 bulkhead and the frame that surrounds the P-51 instrument panel?
Many thanks

Now you are pushing your luck !!!!!! But I can probably send you the drawings to make your own !!!!!.
Does the recent discussion about the Whirlwind mean that there is a serious attempt in recreating a static example?
Perhaps a seperate thread could be started to collect all sort of information or just get on with this one.
Very exciting though
Cees
I think you must have been in hibernation !!!!!!.
Yes currently there are major works in progress with at least 6 of us gathering all the information needed to construct a FULL SIZE ALL ALUMINIUM WESTLAND WHIRLWIND. Th emoderators have kindly extended the paramaters of this thread to allow us to do this.We also have the support of such people as Steve Vizzard and its looking promising from conversations we are having with Westlands that they are willing to help us also.
Any and all constructive help appreciated we hope to be in a position to start laying down metal during the winter of 2011 spring 2012.
Previously mentioned in this flexible thread was the army getting their own way with air transportable vehicles.Might I ask the question Great but within 5 years what do they intent to chUck em out of or transport them in ?.Its a bit embarrasing turning up at terminal three and trying to put three armoured vehicles down as hand luggage !!!!.
Its going in a boat !!!!!!
bring back giant airships, big payloads minimal noise, comfortable, very fuel afficient .
The Kraguj went up against US F16’s in the Jugoslavian conflict and escaped everytime down in amongst the trees. As Moggy says it depends on the circumstances and if the prop is at anything like a reasonable height above ground the Jet will get it everytime. The only thing that could get them was helicopter gunships like the Apache.
Got some and also 2024 T3 but no paperwork.
Mike
If anyone has the rib spacings for the mainplane I can get to work on generating intermediate rib profiles. I don’t have the Airfix magazine mentioned – does drawing No. C.S. 252 show the rib positions in plan form?
Cheers,
Matt
Hi Matt
If you PM me with your email address I will send you over what I have on the wings and main spars.
