    Orion,

As Bubbles said, the Airport Hotel is a good place to spot from, you do pay £5 to park but you get £4 of that back when you buy a round from the bar. The only drawbacks here are that it gets very busy with families when it’s warm, and once the car park’s full, they turn you away.
Also as it’s a family pub, you do have to keep an eye on your camera, not suggesting that they’re light-fingered but I’ve often seen kids running between the tables and sloshing drinks around, not thinking/caring that people have a grands-worth of camera!

If you’re happy to have no facilities, then continue past the AVP (as if you’d turned out of the AVP and turned left on the main road) and drive underneath the two tunnels, and turn left at the roundabout. That’ll lead you onto a small road where you can park for free. If you walk through the gate you come onto a path. You can either head up the hill to the left and hang off the gate (not recommended in the mud) or you can carry on ahead and up to the perimeter fence. Sticking to the official path, you can’t get a camera through the fence, but you’ll find a gap in the fence which leads you up to a small mound where you have an unrestricted view of both the terminal and the runway. You’re not meant to be there, but the airport police take a regular drive past and are not bothered by you being there. The sun’s behind you here 😀

    Aggy

Isn’t this where the temporary AVP was? With that crappy portakabin shop?

If you want to include military, then there are plenty of USAF 707 tankers, AWACS and transports at Geilenkirchen.

    OUCH!
Wrong engines therefore wrong sound therefore not a real 707!

What makes it even more amazing is that is was a standard sniping round.
The Canadian (Previous record holder) was using a sniping 50 cal. with specially adapted US Army bullets. And of course, he took out two baddies and the weapon….not just one. So it was 3 accurate shots over a distance that most people would drive!

On your link, in that screenshot of It’s a MMMMW….who was the woman in the middle. I recall she played a fantastic nagging wife that went on and on and on and on. I need to get a voiceover clip of her at full throttle, for a presentation.

If it wasn’t for illegal immigrants you’d still be eating toad in the hole and Yorkshire puds instead of all those exotic curries

You can’t beat a decent Chicken Rogan Josh, served in a 9 inch Yorkshire pud.

Don’t eat rice. Are you telling me that Chinaman goes out of the field for a pee?

I think the point GA is making is that the Welsh are the original Brits and everyone who’s not Welsh is a descendant of an immigrant from some other country.

    Indeed, I am ze German.

Weren’t the Welsh just French on the run?

Cobblers PeeDee. The biggest thing that starts kids that age smoking is peer pressure. They don’t start because the box looks pretty. Good luck to you with giving up though 🙂

    Yous misreadin or I’s mistypin.

The “Start” is peer pressure, the brand decision is adverts and packaging. And the whole concept of marketing / branding is in fact to make somebody buy something they didn’t realise they needed. For any product, not just the smokes. And that’s straight from the mouth of Phil Kotler, he’s the Dogs B of Marketing. Helped me get 95% in the marketing part of my degree.

Looking forward to the new Robin Hood.

Just watched Clash. Artificial 3D is poor, but fillum worth watching.

“Pacific” is still holding my film watching time at the moment.
