    Aaw, it’s just a 20 billion dollar Glider, with a Drop-tank.

    The nearest to all white was the one that was at Bedford RAE. Had a rather stonkingly red rear fuse / empennage though!

    The only other possible reason to be all white would be for a platform (A very early one) that was planned to be dropping Nukes, late 60’s paint jobs were all white.
    I don’t think Nimrod dropped anything bigger than a Torp. did it?

    I can’t help with the ident, but I find it very moving that the numbered wheel (4th photo) was handled by your father.
    If nothing else, this alone is a very important find for you and your family.

    Wondered where you’d gone.

    Yes, I go to N.A.M a couple of times a year, good innit.
    I wan’t to get a big set of steps and wash the Hastings though!
    Then wax it with autoglym, and then apply an anti fouling lacquer to stop the algae coming back.
