Guppy never operated into/out of Broughton, all flights either went from Manchester or Liverpool.
The wings were taken by road from Broughton to either.
The Beluga is a derivative of the A300, currently 5 exist, all were new builds the top and forward section being removed from the airframe. A new nose, the cargo door and new fuse sections then added.

OK, All Airbus wings are made at Broughton which is in WALES, it is given the address of Chester because years back thats what happen.
Queensferry is on the banks of the River Dee, and has two of the bridges that the A380 barge passes under on its way to Mostyn Docks for onward sea trip tp France.
Filton did equip A320 wings some years back, but only for a short time, they were taken by road from Broughton (as the basic structure, ie wing box) for the fit systems.
The Beluga flies into Broughton most week days

The best way to see everything you want at a show is to arrive well before the gates open and either make a dart at the end before the Reds come on and watch from a local layby once clear of the base, OR wait until the end, take another walk round the static let everyone esle burn up fuel then once the queue has gone slowly drive straight out. Its a long very full day but it either that or stay at home.
My last airshow was RAF Valley a base I love to visit which I has very many happy memories from all the shows I’ve attended. the organisers got a lot of unfair flack after the last show. Result when will we be able to go to another?????

FACT shows are becoming fewer and fewer, however the UK public interest and by that I mean the general public is still as big if not bigger then ever, result is more cars than ever on our totally crap roads trying to get into shows, which does not help if everyone decides to turn up between 10.30 am and 1200 noon.

My daughter is in deep depression, this coming Friday the Chillis play Manchester, its also her 18th birthday and as soon as the tickets went on sale I bought 4 for her and 3 mates to go, then she found out her final A level exams (all 3) are on the same day.
To say she is pi**ed about it would be putting it mildly.
So instead of being in the stadium, she’ll be sitting in a class room in an exam, we tell her it will all be worth it in the end, however it’s hard for anyone to feel any different at any age.

“They’ve already had the boys from Boeing round “, Hang on who invented dirty dealing, and anyway if the a/c fits the bill it will sell, dont forget once the A380 aircraft starts to see service it has the potential of gaining a lot of sales, thats always been the case for most aircraft. As long as there are 2 large airliner manufacturers then the airlines will always have a choice.

I paid a visit there in 1969 as an ATC Cadet whilst on Summer Camp at Lyneham, the Collection was the only part of the visit that stuck in the mind.
How much of the camp is currently in use and for what purpose?

There was an e-mail sent round in my place of work last week requesting everyone to stop buying petrol from a certain petrol company.
Just buy it from anyone other than them. The reasoning behind it was that one company starved of custom would forced to lower their prices… OK not that simple but if could work if information was available from a central point.
Every year I journey from the north to the south to holiday, I live less than 20 miles from oil refineries, for the past 2-3 years the petrol has always been cheaper on the south coast than up here??

    Gents
There are good and bad in both/all nations. I was in Germany just this last Easter holiday. I and the party I was with were made MOST welcome, so much so that if the chance came my way I would be only happy to move there.
It has been 20 years since the last time I was there at that time I found it very expencesive however it would now SEEM to be not so, however in the 20 years we have gone Where????????????
Think on and come back with your thoughts

Here’s local BBC news report, which all seem to start bring the ‘latest’ news and then go on about dredging the river, oh by the way the wings were not designed at Broughton, only made there.
