Yes I feel that this is all very sad. However the closing down of Aviation production in the UK started a long time back. As result of pulling out aircraft production we first lost Hatfield, then Chad. followed by Brough, Prestwick, Dunfold in no particular order.
We lost the skills base for present and future generations and something which this country is top of the league in doing wiping out the economic base of the communitys involved.
One day someone will write a book which should have a title ‘HOW TO SCREW UP AN INDUSTRY WITHOUT REALLY TRYING.
However in the UK’s case the industry in question can be anyone from a list of several.

So very sad, wish more than anything that this was not happening, greatest loss is the men and women that once used this equipment in their day to day work.
I am however glad you put this up, very tempted to bid bid for stuff, but were the hell would I put it,…other than to donate it to like of Elvington.

As reported of Radio 4, the 4 Harriers caught by photo above are the LAST flight from a British carrier.
This is a very sad day.
