Todays Sunday Times is interesting. Two headlines on the front page:

“Britains Rich Soar to Record Wealth”……..during a double dip recession.

Immediately next to it is ” Tories at lowest ebb for 8 years”
Labour 40%, Conservatives 29%, Lib Dems 11%, UKIP 10%

Especially interesting since I consider the current opposition to be the weakest for 30 years.

I thought this program was simply superb. I’ve watched many similar programs but this, in my humble opinion, was by far the best.

Take a bow all those involved, especially, if I may, Sgt Smith(if you take my meaninig).

What about all the countries this nation went into. Killed lots of the indigenous populus. Stole all the resources and then made them buy our products.

Was this ok?

Granted we were not on our own but we appear to have been better than most at it.

There are plenty of things this country can be proud about. There are also many things we cannot be….it should be remembered if we castigate other states, nations or religions.

Whats a bank holiday ?

Just worked Good Friday Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday…………..12 hours each day!

Still at least I have a job!!!!!

Personally I would love to see Sundays kept as a family/church day with most places closed.

That is however a somewhat outdated view that has no chance of becoming reality.

Says I who have worked 12 hour shifts on Good Friday, Easter Saturday and Easter Sunday…….thats aviation for you !

As I do so may I just make the following comments.

I apologise unreservedly for upsetting any forumite with my comments. This is unintended, honestly.

I believe that there are too many fundimntal injustices presently within UK society. I also believe that if these injustices are not addressed the future for UK society is grim in the extream. Further i am of the opinion that the effects on UK society will be felt in the very near future.

I believe the best way to improve UK society is two fold

AA/ Get as many people back to work and as quickly as possible

BB/ We must do something about the greed in modern society.

I think at Easter time these are appropriate matters to be considered.
