Hi All

Just to say I had a fantastic day yesterday. I thought the B17 flying was magic. Was especially impressed by the Mustangs. Thought their flying and “presentation” to the crowd line was stunning. I even enjoyed the commentary which was a surprise !

I found the crowd and people very friendly. Really wanted to buy an A2 jacket but alas could not justify the negotiable blue beer vouchers. Could have spent thousands in the “art tents”.

Really enjoyed the day and thought it a great tribute to all from the 8th & 9th that fought for us and did’nt come back……….lest we forget.

Any have a week off now so its back to my number one interest and Bomber Command. Anyone going to East Kirkby on Wednesday ?

As an ex RIAT volunteer, was very sorry to hear about the show. How there are no lasting effects as a result.

Off for a Sunday lunch now…..on a steam train !

Thanks all………really getting me thinking. I think I’ll go for Duxford, so I can make a real day of it plus fly from a very historic field.

Just out of curiosity, anyone done any warbird flying outside the UK. Too rich for me but would be interested in your experience.
