In that case they should have changed their name to West-East Airlines. I am sure their pilots must have endured some ribbing about their employers choice of name.

No luck there Baz. ‘OZN crashed and was destoyed in New Zealand in 1977, ‘PKU was reported as destroyed in 1979 and ‘NCI was at the Staravia scrap yard in 1977.

Depends on the wing damage, appears that the L/H undercarriage was torn off and obviously the two port engines will need replacing/repairing and it depends on the facilities available at Quito. The A340 is the largest plane permitted to land in Quito.
