The MD-11 is now HZ-AFAS, ex HZ-AFA1 of the Saudi Royal Flight and is owned by ASASCO Aviation.
Flew from Southampton to Jersey on a DC-3 (a long time ago) and every passenger got a card with the names of the crew, aircraft type, flight information and weather forecast although maybe thinking more about it, one card was handed round to each passenger, which is why I haven’t got one!
From this site, you will see that First Choice refuse to supply seat plans!

You could do the site a favour and provide them with a cabin plan after you have flown!:D
Interesting comment with that picture she has been in maintance for 17 months wonder what she has been getting done?
I guess the rival scheme for ‘best of’ would be the MartinAir Cargo planes and the Fedex scheme is no slouch in the attractive stakes.
The Saudi’s plane went initially to Hamburg for maintenance and then to Zurich for engine maintenance. Finally it returned to Hamburg for a VIP interior to be installed and a paint job.
“They took off and left the engine behind!” Must be the understatement of the year!:D

A concise and illuminating explanation I think Alertken. I guess you are descrbing a chapter of MOL’s unwritten book on ‘yield management’ of which he seems to be an expert. You didn’t mention that he probably bought the 800’s at the right price due to quantity and considering the write offs is probably in a negative tax liability bracket!:D
Welcome to the Forum Gingie, lot of give and take, so the more you give, the more you can take!
Here are a couple of sites that might be of interest to you in your explorations!

No, I am sure there is at least one older member! At lease 127 members have been reminded of a piece of history. Nobody has even picked up the spelling mistake in the title yet!:D
They are replacing the earlier delivered 738s with the newer ones so its not all fleet expansion with the new jets.

   Really? What is the difference then apart from the hours on the planes?
Here are the dispersals: G-SSEA is stored, G-WLSH went to Avanti Air, G-CDFF went to Aurigny, G-KNNY and G-TAWE went to Conviasa.
Doubt it – fuselage was dumped outside at Chirk a few years ago.
Wicked Willip :diablo:
O.K. Would be prepared to concede it could be OO-AJK which is reported to be under long term rebuild, but if it is at the back of the hangar, this doesn’t sound too promising. If it is this aircraft it has certainly been travelling having been in Brazil, France, Belgium and now the U.K.
Researching this problem has confused me with Brazilian registrations, are they using PT, PR and PP?
Afternoon
If anyone is interested, you can still find one of these aircraft, lurking in the back of a hangar at Exeter airport. I’m not sure of its identity, as its completely sliver.
Freebird
It would probably be a safe bet that this is G-BAYL as it is registered in Cornwall.
