First flown here at Farnborough in 1976, the Bede was banned by the CAA following a very high ratio of serious accidents in the USA. Two examples have been placed on the Irish register.

Pictures of the two Irish BD-5’s, EI-DNN and EI-DNO are shown on the following web site, one red, one yellow.

What does that Mukesh fly? Seeing that he can afford £500 million house, he could certainly afford an A380 at mere £200 millions, but of course none are ready for delivery yet. Second-hand 747-s, however, should be readily available.

You have proposed an answer which however is not correct for the reason you mention in your previous sentence. Second hand 747’s are like hens teeth due to the delay of the A380 in coming into service. Airlines are therefore having to delay letting any 747’s go and in addition, the increase in freight traffic is putting pressure on the conversion programme and availability of airframes for 747F’s.

It’s just a run of individual thumbnails, hosted on a website, then displayed here using a run of img tags. Nothing fancy.

Great to see photos from further afield 🙂

I agree with your observations, it is just unusual to see that type of display here and I am sure others would be interested in the method and might learn something for the future. My earlier request for caption information was before Rumcajs started downloading his entire photographic library for the museum! Good effort.

O.K. Wade and what is in your hangar? Thankyou for speaking English, there are other forums with a high Oz content where I often think they are speaking a foreign language. Come to think of it, we have one of those on this forum, I am sure you will meet him one day, but he does have a genuine excuse for his posts, you may notice the profusion of smileys.

Glad to see the old boy is still going, despite hanging out with those obnoxious Hilton people.

Rant button on I see! She’s off to jail in four days!!:D

Presumably the one that arrived here at MME at about 1930 then…. that was 1:15 late from Lourdes. By the time it positioned back down there to fly the EXT one would probably be about right.

I did visit your site. Very good site, but why don’t you have a list of airline operators? Is Air Mediterranee a one off charter or regular route as it isn’t mentioned in your French destinations?

Thanks for the very interesting photos, what sort of imaging system are you using to reproduce photos like that? You might like to add a few words describing some of the planes there!

He is really the original ‘Right Stuff’. It is unfortunate that he is now having financial and personal problems with his children following his recent marriage.

You’re right, a fleet of nine aircraft, 737’s and A.320/1’s doesn’t give you much slack when problems arise. Remember the problem with the Liverpool charter to Greece last week.

This looks like a useful tracking site which I found last night and will have to investigate further!
