Similar thing happened at CWL for the past 2 yrs. TCX started the operation during Apr/May, then Monarch took over for the rest of the season.
No SFB for CWL this year tho!
The website states about an upgrade package.
Is there going to be a premium cabin on the a/c or will they just take a few seats out temporarily to create a premium feel??
Would it really be worth upgrading the cabin for a few one-off charters?
This has some similarity to the Travelscope NYC charter from last year that were operated by Zoom from a number of UK airports. Travelscope now not operating anymore.

Im flying on a Tfly 767-300 in summer MAN-PLA-MAN and wondering if they are gaining seat back tv’s.

Just booked a week in Zante from MAN and was wondering which aircraft “type” would be used on this route?

When i flew GSM to Toronto in Jan there was a 10 hour delay due to a problem with the door and the pilot kept using his mobile bad mouthing company while on plane infront of pax. When departure came he slammed on a 100% take off power and flew the plane like a boy racer would.
Wow. I wish i could have that many holidays! I’m obviously in the wrong industry!:diablo:
Mods how about one dedicated ‘Tommy’ thread where users can answer his questions in a confined space! To avoid pointless creations of threads on the forum. 🙂
TOM wont have an a/c at BRS. They will be using an allocation on FCA a/c.
And Vice versa at CWL.
Not sure about Air Malta, had heard they were slimming down their operation within the uk.
CWL
CWL will have a quiet… blue year!
TOM – 2x 757, 1x 733
TCX – 1x 321 (Ex MYT)
It would be as cabin crew for myself…. shame… looks like im stuck with the British rat race!
Do you need to be an Australian resident to get the job, as CC or pilot?
Cabin lights are dimmed during Take off’s and Landings so the passengers eyes are accustomed to the outside light should there be an emergency and an evacuation
Air Greenland at CWL on a charter for the Calzaghe boxing match in Cardiff. Sterling A/S 737-700 also in during the night and numerous smaller jets.
DC8 diversion from LYE due fog. Came from Bazra.
Also today numerous diversions from other stations due fog (1xBaby 733, 1xKLM 733 from BHX. 2x TOM 733 from BOH and an RAF hercules still at CWL, also diverted from LYE.
Great shots!!
Bearing in mind its SSH thats delayed. Any slight delay on this rotation can cause issues. As its such a long flight and long day for the crew, a delay can cause havoc for crew hours.
How do airlines who use manual check-in (I.E Ryanair) provide this information?
Or do they use computers now?
The NEOS 767’s will go later this year.
There is another 767 recently arrived at GSM, ex Air NewZ. That will go to Air India and one of the 767’s (GCDPT)already there will return to the uk shortly and will operate some of the long haul flights (CPT/YVR i think)
I believe GSM’s own 757 is going and the IcelandAir leases are going to end soon.
Apparently one of the 757’s will be operating to SFB during the winter.
Zoom are getting one of the Canadian Reg’s for this winter so i’m sure theres more than a few NYC charters planned.
Heard they were going double daily on the JFK route.
CWL is certainly hoping something comes of it. If LGW-BDA-JFK works, then maybe LGW-CWL-JFK will.
The problems in LGW should have been sorted or will be soon, as mentioned before with their ETOPS cert.
ZoomUK are doing a one off CWL-JFK this winter. Its an offer in the local newspapers, not sure of the tour operator. But theres often offers to Canada, USA and a range of others places.
ZoomUK operate their own a/c, which is an ex Air Europa 767-300.
Despite them being owned by the same people, they are 2 different companies and are run seperately.
I dont know whether there have been many tech issues with ZoomUK, but as stated, having one a/c can affect operations.
However i do know that the a/c was not ETOP’s approved, meaning the a/c has to take a longer routing to get to Bermuda, which can have a nasty knock-on effect. I believe they have or will shortly be receiving ETOPS approval so things should improve soon.
