    Oh goody.
    A possible future oil glut.

World prices will come down, economies will be able to transport good cheaply again.

Except in UK. Our shower will find an excuse to increase the price and the duty on it.

People forget, WE were an oil producing nation. Where has all that wealth gone? Pi55ed away on “Social payments” that’s where.

We are an island built of coal, surrounded by fish that swim above oil. But we have shortages of all these. Pitiful, if it was a business you’d close it.

Couldnt agree with ya more, funny part is, its the same story in the US.

DRILL DRILL DRILL get those pumps a pumpin and stop with all this greenie weenie crap.

Do it as safely as possible for the environment/people, do it as quickly as possible.

And dont stop there, drill offshore, get the oil sands/shale. Build new, up to date refineries and either update old ones or replace them.

And to top it all off, make the oil business competitive, not this sickening collusion between government and business to protect eachothers backsides.

I get all my news from counterpunch.org. It tells it like it is, unlike those capitalistic pigs at FOX or the sissies at CNN and the other news outlets.

Counterpunch gives you the real news, completely fair, perfectly balanced, and straight to the point, the COUNTERPOINT !!!! :diablo:

Honestly, all joking aside, I have been to counterpunch before and whoever is writing on there……. always gives me a bit of a chuckle…..doesnt say much for Mr. Wheeler in my opinion.

Talk to almost any USAF pilot, even one outside of the air mobility community!

As a matter of fact, if I remember correctly, tonight on the SciFi channel the show Ghost Hunters is invited to an Air Force Base. And if I remember the commercial correctly, they show them getting into a C-5………..I guess theyre gona catch some gremlins or perform an exocism on that galaxy :diablo:

Yeah this is all ridiculous. No wonder things become more expensive, with the buyer changing the contract/timeframe and whatnot all the time.

What really struck me was, the program is worth roughly 1 trillion dollars, and is over budget by 38 billion. Well, 38 billion is a lot of money, but in a 1 trillion dollar program……doesnt look to shabby.

My biggest concern would be the 27 month delay……get these planes up, flying, A+ shape and in production I say, and do it now.

Rather than quoting that whole article, I will just ask a question about it and its poster.

Do they even warrant a response?

I have a few but I dont know if I should bother, I wouldnt want to trample on opinion and free speach rights.

Frankly, I suspect many in this Congress are upset with the defense contractors. We are buying what were supposed to be $65 million Raptors for $180 million, we are buying what were supposed to be $45 million Lightning IIs for over $100 million. We are not anywhere near a near miss, somehow we are doubling the price of an aircraft. One wonders why Congress don’t demand heads on a silver platter! Former British kings would have plunged a sword into the management of these defense contractors, starting with their CEOs or have their entails removed in front of a live crowd.

Boeing bribes, Lockheed attempts to overcome law, its getting disgusting. Bad glue being used on new Raptors, the very plane we are buying to retire Eagles falling from the sky. Lockheed attempting to overcome law by wishing for a multi-year contract for the Raptors, unfortunately the six, yes six independent organizations that should give the green light to do so, not one has. Oh, one boss of an organization did, but their paper work said otherwise. Turns out he’s up on charges of criminal activity. He lied, and saw his stock rise falsely. SCANDAL AFTER SCANDAL!

I am not surprised no one in Congress trusts these defense contractor CEOs. Their testimony in Congress are nothing but lies and spins. Not one of them knows what a budget knife is, in their minds spoons are the answer, spooning more costs onto the taxpayer.

And we call this quality control? Free enterprise, or is it criminal activity. And our defense workers wonder why the Congress wants to buy foreign products. Get a clue! Believe it or not, American quality control and budget management sucks!

I agree with most of what you said, but don’t leave Congress out when it comes to adding to the problem. Quite frankly, this has been going on for many years, and this sort of corporate welfare that Congress so readily obliges to hand out is sickening.

Quite frankly, its not the defense contractors screwing over the taxpayer, its the defense contractors and Congress working in collusion to screw us all over in the end……under the guise of “good government”.
