Wasn’t there some sort of vanguard sim at the Bournemouth museum some years back.

Nice shots, I like the retro colour scheme on the Condor aircraft
Never went to this airport would be nice to see some photos of it in it’s heyday if anyone has any. Perhaps s a tribute?
The other wheel next to the Lincoln is a C54
I notice that the KLM heavies have 3 cockpit crew members, is the third a relief pilot for long trecks?
Would love to see more photos as well, I too was a spotter at Ringway from 77 onwards with my annual pier pass and large box radio, 8×40 bins, black snorkel, and Starliner membership. If you have any RUssian stuff that would be interesting. I use to love the glass nosed aircraft.
The airways around Manchester seem so different now, dominated by BOeings and airbuses. Gone is the variety that once was.
Nice capture of the Antonov! Not many Russian manufactured stuff around in the British skies anymore, pity.
A little bit more information on the diving expedition on this link, may also answer the questions raised about bodies on board:

Great photos! Would like to see some photos of the hs748’s and Bae146’s around the back parameter fences if you can get around there. Thanks
Just started a book called the Lancfranc boys which tells the story of the crash of an Eagle Air Vickers Viking at Holthahein, Norway in August 1961. The trip had been charted by the Lancfranc school in Croydon and all 34 schoolboys perished on board. Sad story which before hand I knew nothing about. Covers quite a bit on Eagle Air, it’s crew, the school children and subsequent crash recovery and investigation etc.. ISBN 978-0-9531890-3-8
One of the more recent ones must be the fly in from the USAF B52 bomber which was about to commence it’s FArnborough INternational Air display at BLackbushe aerodrome.
Even more amazing when you think that this is a nuclear capable bomber. If nuclear war ever breaks out I hope the yanks get to find the right targets!!
I have also heard of a Sabena Boeing 737 landing at BAE Woodford instead of Manchester, can anyone throw any more light on this one?
As always great day out Andy! Walked out with a control wheel for a BEECH 18 and an original framed class photo of the pilots of 42 Squadron, RFC Royal Flying Corps circa 1917 at Hounslow airfield.
Plently of other tempting goodies which I relunctantly left behind! Me108 sticks and Vickers Valiant yoke to name but a few. Hope to have an outside stall there next year to get rid of some surplus stuff! Thanks again.
My personal thoughts is that it would be good o have a forsale section as most other forums seem to be able to accomodate this. However i understand Key publishings concerns, if they didn’t make money we wouldn’t have an excellent magazine or a free Internet forum such as This. However perhaps we could be met half way and have advertisements for the following:
1) Free promotions for events, gatherings, air shows and museums. This could be in the interest of keeping historic aviation ‘alive and well’.
2) A free wants page for somebody who is looking for that elusive item for their restoration projects or collection.
This then leaves the for sale section still intact for it to be included in the back of the magazine in order to generate some income or the company.
