    I wish! It is sad outside and should not be

    Only my own personnal point of view but I find it very strange that some are still treating our history like this, denying it to those who would treat it in the way it deserves.

    PS.Tony have not forgotten your firewall mounting and should have some good news for you very soon.

    Hi Mackeral and Ross,

    I do not know of anybody in Worcestershire with a brake press and wished I did.
    Ross, ref curves..there are no curves in the sections at all..it maybe the way I took the photographs of the sections, all are straight, still waiting for that info on the wooden armour plate spacers mate

    Hi Jay;

    Let’s just say that Tim is more than qualified in that department. I think his attached photos were a clue, although I’m more used to seeing him with his Hurricane.

    Regards;
    Steve

    Thank Steve for the heads up..was not aware that he was a ex spit pilot so will be writing to him tomorrow.

    [QUOTE=Lincoln 7;1942066 I don’t know why, but the American sellers always wanted twice as much for their collectables than any other Country.
    Jim.
    Lincoln .7[/QUOTE]

    Its because they earn 3 times as much as the rest of the world and want twice as much for thier money and certainly get value for money.

    As you have mentioned the infamous Potter group transport only(!) 4 times in your post I have a small feeling that you may be connected to the company, might be wrong but my “Inspector Frost guide to detective work for dummies” says I may be on the right track unless Morse comes up with something different.:rolleyes:

    As with all of us price is very much to the fore of what we seek for our respective projects, have you considered contacting the companies which produce the fibre glass replicas?

    Can someone explain to this pommy please why do those unwanted airframes had to be buried whereas in the Uk they are just merely scrapped and sent to the smelter, surely that is a far better way to make sure they never appear in the air again? or as with the rumours of buried spitfires in Australia the Australian goverment is ensuring a new rumour will abound in the year 3012 😀

    Also why the condition that any display airframes must be behind glass?

    Could be a Beaufighter but looking at the shape of the rear fuselage,high tail and wing length could it be a Boston?
