The Mosquito wouldn’t need BAE product support.
The only way a Mosquito would need support from an appropriate organisation (not necessary BAE) is if the CAA classed the aircraft as ‘complex’. As the DH Sea Vixen is in the ‘intermediate’ category, I hardly think that likely.
I am not aware of any warbirds, of British manufacture, that have manufactures support anymore.
Just checked the Radio TImes.
“Edited for violence and language”.
Of course we wouldn’t want a film about World War Two depicting any violence.
Good job there wasn’t a black Labrador involved.
Oh hang on a minute….
Polish Pilot – “good ufter-noon”
Farmer – “Good afternoo my a@se – you bosch b@@tard”
They cut that bit out.
Ridiculous.
Rumour on PPRuNe is that the aircraft is to be scrapped!
Would be a terrible shame if it is. How about it Twin Otter23 is it worth making a call?

No indeed, why on earth would Woodford be included? It was only built, tested and delivered from there.
Because it is a tribute to the OEM’s, some of whom still support the aircraft.
Staverton, Cottesmore, Scampton and Waddington now added.

So its not flying over where it was built -where it left service with the RAF and where the most significant Vulcan sortie started in RAF history !
Why should it? That is not the aim of the flight.

The timings are going to published in the Vulcan newsletter, due out later today.
The sortie is planned for three hours, and Halton is the last fly past before returning to Doncaster. Based on previous flights, my guesstimate would be 16:00.

I read that as Newark Air Museum opens in China!
Got as far as considering if they had made replicas of everything before I relaised my mistake. 😮

You’ll have to enligten us then as the rationale wasn’t due to be published until tomorrow.
If it was for the benefit of sponsors then fair enough no-one has a problem with that but it is a long way from being a “tour of various airports near to sites that played a significant part in their development or service life”
It isn’t going anywhere near most of them.
Still I’m sure the rationale behind the route will make it all clear.
The rationale is what I stated in my post.
Clearly it cannot fly over every single location ever associated with the development and operation of the Vulcan.
Specific details on the route chosen will be published tomorrow (I understand). Off the top of my head I can see connections with most of them.
