like the MD 11 shot and wondered where you took these from Richard?as it doesn’t look a bad spot to use…Cheers.JB
Certainly caught my attention:eek: and a first for many to see this thing flying.Again some nice shots caught in good lighting Keith…Cheers
Really like your avatar blacknight and think by the looks of it its an old photo by that really good photographer John Rigby. If you have any knowledge of the chap I would welcome it as his work is just brilliant especially his early shots when the Reds were the Reds with the gnats.I sympathise with your original views and can only say that when great characters disappear from the scene where we hold close and fond memory’s to its never the same but at least you had the privilege to meet them and see them at what they did best. 🙂
Thats the main thing anyway.:)
Thanks for the votes of confidence from EGTC and Newforest” und vor meine vornam das macht nicht aus”,”somst hab ich das selbste probleme offentlich zu erinnen.”:rolleyes:(hope that was kosha deutsche)
Two lovely photos there keith and that “Kwakkasakki”,is well caught thanks for putting them up.:)
Nice shots from the 140 end ,it looks like you were around the allotments end Keith,”whats in season”:):).You probably got this angle Iv’e added to your thread but thought it might be of interest anyway. As you can see I got the B.0 105 on a good day and chucked in this A319 taken passing Stansted and as I was checking on A/H***s.net I would have had a first as no one has clocked this at that site.…

P/s Hope you dont mind me adding these to the thread and nice shots by the way on the new post.
Those photos were a nice change and I was very interested in the old red jet which is a pulqui I.a 27.It bears a little resemblance to the P.84 prototype jet provost(“to me it does anyway”) and I often wonder if they adopted some of there ideas in the think tank stage of the early days when things were still on the drawing board.
It started life with a prop and the for runner to the i.a 27 also did and the basic shape of the Mk1 J.p seems pretty similar except for the air intake’s being in different places but if they did use one or two of there ideas they would have to change things so as it didn’t look too similar. Engine units were different JP with ASV5 and Pulqui with a RR derwent with similar thrust output of around 1600.Anyway before I put you to sleep with drivel thanks for sending in some lovely photos from an exotic hot spot.:)
To think B.t could put some security in some of there major sites at night time that might help solve a few problems but” no” to save money they leave them unnattended:rolleyes::eek: every night and the Gypsy Post Office start there collections and deliveries.:rolleyes::)
Seeing those photos was like being transported back to a time I would love to have photographed,”with a digital” of course.looking at the fruits of an industry post war with such promise ahead and now knowing some sixty years later its history is just a record in books with the material bits in museums and scrapyards.(with the exception of a few in places such as Duxford and elsewhere) Thank-you for posting and is there any more.:)..Cheers.JB
Nice to see none the less and hope you’ll put some more up when you get the time.cheers..:) Did you use a flat-bed or dedicated scanner?.I’m also into copying and scanning stuff and know that some days things go better than others.
A couple of copter shots from a very windy and murky Norwich.Seems the T.V people were up I guess and can only speculate they were interviewing one of the upper echelon from Stirling helicopters about there position on there future operations.I think they will remain and it’s watch this space for what turns up next.Hope they look al-right anyway….:)

Cheers mate and some good picciee’s as per.Thats the one I saw overhead as I left and it sounds nice aswell.I got a couple from up there today and will put them on a separate thread. The first shot with the flash of fading:) sunlight and the contrasting strong colours makes a pleasing image.Cheers.:)
Thanks for comments and look forward to your pic’s Keith. Was pleased that particular Saab came out well Rob as I was experimenting with a cheap diggee from the charitee’s, that will now fit in my work bag easily now that it works o.k.ish:rolleyes.Look’s like the weather played ball again so look forward to seeing the “Norwich (all weather crew’s) pic’s”.:)
Seems a long way to go 2013 in this world as by that time, we might just have 1 airfield left with just a couple of squadrons left. Your comment a while ago summed up the risk factor all of us face on a daily basis using our own road network and with risk in mind I think it would be feasible if we signed a form pre the shows that we accept the risk without challenge at the shows.
I really don’t understand with such large air-shows as Fairford(the biggest in Europe) with a massive mix of planes undergoing these risks outlined being any different to there own.If its a case of money then shut the whole lot down as its a massive expense to this country right now,and as we pay four times as much as they do for fuel and there wage structure is far better than our own it seems a poor return from them to close there doors on us to just want to watch an airshow to which they would more than likely make a profit.
I cant understand how they can host large shows in there own country with equal risk involved, maybe someone will know this and get in touch. So back to the drawing board and another quick prayer for good luck.:)
Interesting to see what happens inside and the next date for legends has just been marked down after seeing it displayed amongst your nicely taken set.:)
