On my Virgin Atlantic flight from LHR – LAX on 1st April. We were still at the gate at LHR and the co-pilot made an announcement, she said “please remain seated until the aircraft is at the gate and we are ready for you to dissembark” she must have forgotten that we hadn’t left LHR yet.

I still think that fish & chips with mushy peas, plenty of salt and vinegar bein eaten while sat on the beach at at a british beach resort like Blackpool on one of those rare days when the weather is nice, is the best meal you could ever have.

Oh, and make sure you have a can of coke for after, that’s a necessity.

I think Bond is great. My fav film is live and let die and I think thw worst is The World is Not enough.

The food was very nice. In economy we got a selection of 3 meals, of which one was vegetarian, one meat and a fish dish. I had a very nice pasta dish on the return flight. I was dissapointed though that on a 11 hour flight they only gave 2 meals, these were a full meal at the beginning of the flight, then a snack at the end.

I know totally about this, as I flew into Heathrow yesterday. Even though my flight (VS008) was meant to land at 11:10, because off the earlier trouble aircraft were having to join long que’s to land. Our flight circled around oxfordshire for about 1 hour before getting clearance to land.

hey Keltic, got any tips for me then? cause my grades at english are high c’s and low b’s and I’m sitting my GCSE’s this year.

Already got my place at college to do a A-level in Sociology and AVCE Travel & Tourism.

My fav is Britannia. Would you all not agree that the toilets all being downstairs is a bit careless, i.e. for disabled or elderly passengers?

Do the yanks class Pretzels as a weapon of war? Seen as Bush had to go to hospital I’m surprised that there has been no war against pretzels or something. I’m gonna stop now, seen as I’m visiting the US on Monday.

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 23-03-02 AT 09:36 AM (GMT)]With this being in teh summer and from Gatwick, i would expect that the flight would be carried out with a boeing 757. if you want to know for certain, the airline may be able to tell you if you phone up.

The North terminal is a nice terminal, I was there last year. I just aren’t too keen on the selection of shops there. These can be seen at http://www.baa.co.uk/airzone3/gatwick/directory_frame.html

I’m really upset to find this out.

Because I am going to Los Angeles with Virgin on the 1st April, and I am having to go by train the night before from Hull which is a total pain.

Agh well, at least I will get to see some more interesting aircraft.
