RE: Sri Lanka in shock!
I was just wondering if Colombo airport is open again to international flights.
Do the Air Force base and the airport use the same runway and stuff then? Cause when I went to Sri Lanka last November I didn’t see any military aircraft.

RE: Dan Air reunion
I’m going to LGW on 22nd August
RE: HETHROW RUNWAY THREE
Doesn’t Heathrow already have a 3dr runway that. I’m sure Heathrow has the two large ones, and then has a smaller one which can only be used from 1 side. Shaun
RE: Hello
Hi,
How many hours ahve you got then? Which aircraft areyou training in? I’ve got a bit of love for the Rockwell Commander, although all I’ve done regards training is 30min voucher flights, cause I’m too young to do start my PPL training. Well to go solo or stuff like that.

RE: What´s flying Iran Air/Thai like?:
In my opinion Thai is a first class airline, the cabin crew are extremally friendly and helpful. The pilots love to have people in the cockpit for a quick chat. I have been on four of their flights, and I must commend them on their high standards of service.
I still don’t think they beat the nice old servise I got on BA in the 744, but they still are an excellent airline. Give em a go Keltic

RE: Five-engined Jumbo??
I may be wrong,
but, sometimes aircraft like the A-330 carry a spare engine on the wing if the aircraft is going to be delivering it. I know that the A-330 wing is capable of the carrying more than 2 engines so if the aircraft is due to be transporting a wing, all the engineers have to do is attach it to the wing. This then saves room in the hold.
I may be wrong, but this may be why the aircraft have what you think is an extra wing

RE: Help
Hi,
I would recommend keltic, kabir & alairbus. I think these three seem to be three of the more knowledgable members. And I also know that they have being using this forum for a long time.

RE: Monarch Airlines
When I flew Monarch in August 1998 i found the service to be appauling. The aircraft was a total disgrace, ignorant cabin crew, appauling meals, and overall a rubish flight. I was looking forward to flying with them because of the good commments I had heard about them, but after flying Britannia (which I found to be brill) I was totally disapointed.
The flight was in a MD-11 leased from World Airways, operating from Manchester-Sanford, so with it being leased you can understand that it wasn’t Monarch’s fault. But, they will have undoubtably seen the aircraft beforehand, so they could have gone somewhere else for a clen one. Well, we can’t always have good flights, can we?
