Bradburger no I do not write for a newspaper and if I did I would probably be calling for Andy Hills head over the deaths caused by him or any others who serviced or maintained this aircraft. I am awaiting the report on this like others on this forum and hope it is soon and not a whitewash which I am sure the AAIB will not do.My thoughts and wishes are for the relatives of the dead only and hope they see justice for those they lost.
#73 I agree entirely with your post

I am I right in saying that you and that of post 73 fill.

If it is found by the AAIB that the Hunter crash was one of pilot error that those who maintained this aircraft are in some way to blame for said crash?

if this is your view it puts owning and operating vintage types in question its like saying if you fix my car and then I drive it outside the law and kill a group of people you are also to blame. this also would mean those who maintained the Gnat are at fault for its crash.

I think what the PAF has done over the years is outstanding with in the most part good leadership. this is shown in the upgrade of the J-7 fleet the ROSE upgrade of the Mirage 111/5 fleet and the JF-17 project which now has block 2 airframes coming off the line and block 3 on the drawing board. It also looks like the PAF is putting the tried and tested program it used on the Mirage fleet on to the F-16 picking up airframes when it can and upgrading them

And they’ve also just announced that the only surviving local ATC gliding school will be at Tern Hill

614 VGS is also one the safe ones but MOD Wethersfield may go to housing by 2020 making them homeless

Guys, c’mon!!! No one is perfect, Spencer did an huge bonus to the UK scene with his 3 red aircraft, how many of you know that he purchased 1 of 3 lots of Fury parts from Germany, that lot ended up here in Oz to help refurbish the 3 Furies we did so his contribution goes on!!! this thread is about VX 281!!

Spencer Flak indeed needs to be thanked and remembered for his contribution to the UK and latter the world warbird scene which was no small thing it was a shame about the Fury and the comments after

The engine was fine it was lack of fuel I was also told this may not have been totally down to the Pilot. However rule 101 pilot should check the fuel him self
