In reply to your comments on my Fedex posting. At least what I eat and drink I can keep to myself – I don’t waste it in hedgrows!!!!!
My other half still says you must try harder, she still gets better shots with her Nikon compact.
My opinion, not bad mate. Like the KLM head on and your last one for the movement. Keep on practising with the new gizmo.

Impressive A330. Like the Air Malta. Must get down to Heathrow again. Getting withdrawal symptoms. Looking forward to Part 2.

Renfrew. Kev will tell you all about it when he sees you. Long story but you might have an idea from Rabs comment.

Adam. Pleased you saw these before you go to Portugal. Hope they may encourage you to travel up to Lisbon.

It is good to see that you have finally got your camera out of hibernaton. See that you are using photoshop much better now. Looks like that Frontier has been pasted on to a Prestwick background!! Joking apart mate – nice shots. Donna would now like to see the Orca and the Grizzly.

    Hi Rab
Welcome back. Thought you must have been reading the operators manual for your camera as I haven’t seen anything from you. Goodn’s again – are you now auditioning for a series with David Attenborough!!!

DJ17 Many thanks for the information. I will keep hold of it for future reference.

    Adam
Did two days there and Tuesday was one of them. As mentioned I found it fairly quiet. You will probably get two or three together and then find yourself sunbathing for quite a while. Bit like our buses but without the sun!!
DJ17 sent this website. I am sure he won’t mind me mentioning it. You will find it very useful. http://www.luisrosa.net/ Thanks for the offer of joining you, but unfortunately due to work commitments I haven’t got a chance in hell. I will just look forward to seeing your results. As you are hiring a car, should you get chance to get to Lisbon I think you will find it well worth it. A lot more busy than Faro and decent variety. In one afternoon we nearly cracked off all Portugalia and TAP. Cannot get as close as Faro due to a new road being built but a shame if you cannot make it. Have a great time, from someone turning green with envy.

Thanx for the comments guys and pleased you like.

A330. Yeah well spotted. It is Chilean registered. Leased from Aerolinea Principal Chile from 4/7/07 I believe. Has been in at Prestwick and Glasgow as seen by a mate of mine up there. Think they had it returned on 12 November 2007. Covered flights for Binter Canarias and Vueling during this period. Somebody else may be able to update you more.

Adam. Early morning if aircraft landing from Faro the light was not brilliant but the sun is behind you for the rest of the day. Your info about changing direction on the runway may be correct. On one of the days the wind was cross runway and I was jumping in the car and going from one end to the other. Viewing is excellent. As you approach the airport terminal you will see a roundabout with big concrete spotters around the edge (you will know what I mean when you see it}. Take your first right keeping the petrol station on your left. This road will take you to the end of the runway. Pass the end of the runway and immediately turn left on to a dirt track. Do not cross the estuary. This will take you down the length of the runway. Photographs here will be through the fence but is excellent for taxiing. (Star Tour was taken from here) Keep driving and you will come to a crash gate where the road turns right (Jet2’s were taken here) the road will go around in a square. When you get back to the runway – about 50 yards you will see a mound on your right. There was a pallet on top with black beetles and ants for company when I was there!! This will give you views over the fence and you are opposite the terminal. Most of my shots were from this point. It can be very quiet throughout the day. There is no shade so remember the sun block and plenty of water. Hope this helps and have a great time. Wish I was with you.

Kevinwm – Heard a few clicks from your camera but not seen any results yet!!!!

Nice shots Rab. Still not getting any sun down here. Thought you might have used photoshop on the easyjet nosewheel door. Could have your own personal aircraft!!!
Have a great new year mate
