    Right so Merlin.
    Most frustrating but at least we were able to see 558 under her own power.
    It was worth the trip just to see that.

    Absolutely, and Ive no argument with that at all. Did come as a bit of a surprise though when I was reading through it-not having looked at the date-and there was a post from my old mate Ageorge who is no longer with us.

    So, charcoal for flavour and gas for convenience then.
    Kind of what I thought.
    The one I have at the moment is charcoal and I do like all the pottering about with it-but it seems the shops are more and more just having the gas ‘uns.
    Might just get one of them to go along with the charcoal one so Ive got the option.

    I was on the other side of the belt of trees next to the field near you. Ideal there too-only a smattering of people, plenty of room and photo opportunities.

    I noticed the Vulcan listed in the brochure as attending. Would have been good to see but guess we have to wait till Leuchars to see 558 north of the border.
    Given the poor visibility I’m not surprised the BBMF didnt turn up- I think we did rather well all things considered and I have no gripe about the ticket price. We did get the Catty, Miss Demeanour,Jumping Jacques and PT462 after all.
