    For anyone interested.. The first commercial oil refinery in the world was located in Bathgate, West Lothian, Scotland. This was the work of James “Paraffin” Young. The oil was extracted from shale long before other processes took over. We still have many of the copper coloured spoil heaps or “bings” dotted around parts of the county.

    I can well and truly vouch for the D70, having bought one just recently.
    With the standard Nikon zoom lens, the results of my holiday photos have been superb.
    Must go and swot up how to post on the forum so I can demonstrate-if anyone’s interested.

    Mate of mine built an R/C TSR 2. Looks great in the air. Couldnt persuade him to do a camo job on it unfortunately.

    Ive checked back in my old photos and yes, I stand corrected. It wasnt on a pole, but it was sitting with its tail up like the Lanc at Hendon.

    RW393 looks an awful lot better than she did when I last saw her sitting on a pole at Turnhouse. Definitely a good decision to take her under cover.
