my fave of all Meteor variants, the NF-14… they just look so cool….. i wish i could give you lot a hand in doing her up…
cant wait to see her, when she is all smart again… keep up the good work. 🙂
sod the boeings and the airbuses… why not get a Concorde back for Royal Airforce One duties…. now that would be a eye opener….. and about the bloody airbus things replacing our Vikitens… **** **** **** **** **** **** **** ****, thats all ive got to say about the matter… 😡
whats your veiws on this little beauty… how many are in service ??????. 😉
wow i thought my first ever thread on this forum died ages ago… nice photos by the way….
i think we have covered most of the great soviet interceptors.. apart from the mighty Mig-31 Foxhound and the handsome Mig-23 Flogger. so here goes…… 🙂
imagine having one of them parked in your garage… i think my drive way would need to be slightly enlarged if i wanted to use it !!!!. 😉
i hope a multi millionaire will buy them and keep them flying… if a certain Mr Branson is veiwing.. how about virgins new high speed mail delivery service. 😉
Don’t forget the CL215/415 series. Spain, Greece and Thailand operate them in full military livery, whereas some other countries have paramilitary ones.
The Be-6 never got ‘seagull’-ish name. The Chaika (Russian for Seagull) is the Be-12. Ukraine may still be operating the Be-12 too by the way, they did operate them for quite a number of years after gaining independence.
OOPS…. i did mean Be-12… i must have got my Madges mixed up with my Mails !!!!!!!!. i agree i think there is about 5 or 6 operational in the Ukraine, though i think they are due to be retired soon.. is that large Chiniese Amphibian still in production… 🙂
This is very inspiring to see. It makes you wonder if it should of been 655 that was kept in airworthy condition, not 558
It’s in incredible condition 😎
it makes me wonder why both shouldent be flying…….
she looks gorgeous…. WHAT A BUEATY…. its nice to see a Vulcan looking so well looked after…. by the way … CAN I HAVE A GO NEXT…. 😉
5.. my big blue come to bed eyes…. or go to bed eyes after 12 pints.. 😎

the English Electric Canberra has to be one of the greatest aircraft designs ever produced.. though some of us may look on them today as rather old fashoned and a relic from the past “not me by the way”.. we must never forget that when they enterd service 50 odd years ago, they was so advanced nothing else in the world could go near in matching them.. they was so good, even the Americans wanted them.. the fantastic Canberras and B-57s exelled in every job that was given to them.. from night all weather attack to target tug..
i think all of us will shed a tear or two when the last RAF Canberras retire soon.. but at the same time how many military aircraft have had a 50+ year career… i dont think enybody will ever forget this remarkable piece of aviation exellence… my only wish is that at least 1 Canberra will stay airworthy so we can all still marvel at her in future air displays….. 🙂
thank you for the imformation.. very helpful… a friend of mine who lives in Credenhill.. told me the other day that 2 Apaches flew into the camp recently and a few days later “his own words” 2 large Russian type helicopters, he could not say what sort they was… he may have been wrong.. but he is pretty good on his helicopters.. he tells me it gets a bit annoying sometimes with all the copter traffic in and out of the base….
there is still whats left of a crater left by the bomber/s here in Hereford… the story goes one of or the bomber was shot down on her way home over the Bristol Channel.. i would love to know what sort of bomber it was… 🙂
when i was 12 a friend and me was racing each other on our bikes… i had a almost by then brand new 10 speed racer… going like a bat out of hell looking behind seeing where my mate was, i was completly unaware of a PARKED CAR on the side of the road… i think you can guess what happend next !!!!!!!!!!!!!… i broke my arm in 3 places.. worst still i completly nackard up my new bike….. not a good day…. my mate still takes the **** about it now……

B-47s were withdrawn from service because the wings kept falling off – literally.
forgot about that… do some wing modifications… 😀
De Havilland Sea Vixen…. why not…
a large ultra modern multi mode radar in the nose.. take away the observers position.. replace that with a M-61 Vulcan cannon.. modern Avionics so no need for the observer.. areodynamic improvements, higher swept wing with more powerful afterburning turbofans, so supersonic speed is possible.. a state of the art weapon syestem, ECM… put a bit of stealth tech in too…
WHO NEEDS A F-35………. 😉
