i am going to hope and pray that the RAF will keep at least 1 Canberra airworthy, as a tribute to 55 years of exellent service. it wouldent hurt them.. 😉
it always baffles me why only 10 Belfasts was built, and they was in service for a fairly short time. the RAF must have missed such a capable asset.
another fantastic looking transport is the Argosy. a strange beast to say the least. is there eny Argosys still flying today… i have seen a few in cival colours, or are these long gone. wouldent it be fantastic to see a Beverley in the air again. she would certainly turn some heads at airshows…. 🙂
black adder was fantastic, i have them all on DVD.. they still make me laugh…
open all hours, with the late GREAT Ronnie Barker….. G G GRANVILE, FETCH A CLOTH….
the two ronnies have to be the best sketch show ever made….. remember the PHANTOM RASBERRY BLOWER OF OLD LONDON TOWN…. side splitting.. 🙂

hokum or havoc…. that is a good question…for looks alone the Kamov would win every time, but the Mil looks more useful, i think the Havoc would be the choise for me. 🙂
i think the Britannia and the connie are the most elegant looking aircraft ever built.. absouloutly beautiful…..
heres some maybe less elagant, but still gorgeous old classics…
what about farscape…. i thought it was brilliant…

i had a fantastic sight sunday [21st] evening, a RAF SAR Sea King landed at the hospital, just down the road from my place, she flew in about 8.30pm, stayed for about half a hour and then left, it was so weird watching from the bedroom window, a Sea King spooling up her engines, she got of the ground like a rocket. i thought she was gonna take the roof off. i dont know why she visited, though at a guess, she rescued some climbers off the black mountains that are not far from here, the weather was awful on sunday… 🙂
THE A-TEAM……..and bring the PROPER CYLONS BACK IN BATTLESTAR GALACTICA…. 😉

all i can say is the tornado in my veiw is a great aircraft.. they have kept Great Britains skys clear of unwelcome visiters for the last 20 years, so in a way its done a fantastic job as a interceptor fighter, just like the Lightning and Phantom before.. the IDS has proved time and time again that they are a very capable attack platform. i dont want to get into all the technical jargan, because to me that means nothing. at the end of the day the Panavia Tornado is very popular with the people who works with them, has never put a foot wrong in nearly 25 years of service and have done a fantastic job as the RAFs only fighter, and most important bomber for as long as i can remember. that alone makes it a GREAT aircraft. they have there flaws… but name me a aircraft that dosent… 😉
