I just found this thread, shout if you need anything else, been a bit busy lately adding new content to the site.
I’ve also got a Bomb load adjuster in the collection, which I should really take some photos of and add something to the site.
Oh and thanks for the plugs Paul much appreciated 🙂
I think it’s a great idea. 20k is still half the price of the 40k for a proper hut, I don’t think the cold will be an issue, it has to be insulated, doesn’t it get quite cold up there in the clouds? 😉 and as someone else said think of the imagination of the children.
Personally I think you will find the teachers using it after school for some fantasy roleplaying 😉
Why is it whenever I read one of your posts Pete, I hear Victor Meldrew’s voice in my head?
Well said that man, also made me laugh to remember Victor Meldrew. I see you are also a neighbour of mine in Cambridge, I live about 20 mins away 😉
I’m looking forward to this film and have been for a long time, it doesn’t really matter what they call the dog. While it’s an integral part of the fact/story/film and the PC brigade will have won a minor victory if they change it, it’s the retelling of the story that is important. If it can bring the events of WWII to another generation then it will have done part of the job, lest we forget etc 😉
Thanks I’ll do that. Enjoy the holiday and when you get back any chance of a lager copy for the site’s gallery? 😀
Cheers
G
You got me there, I’ve not seen those ones before, no visible markings, no armaments and no aerial arrays.
My best guess is they are metrological flight those extra bits under the wings look like sensors.
This is what I miss about dear old blighty, we don’t get quality TV like that out here in NZ 🙁
Steve, I’d be very interested in knowing more about your interviews, stop by the site and we’ll talk some more. Iv’e got at least 60 interviews to add to the site but it takes time to get things done.
I’d be really interested in seeing that photo RLangham and any others you have from that period, again stop by the site and we’ll sort it all out 😀
If either of you get any problems with registering or anything just use the found a fault form and I’ll sort it out 😉
Don’t need webspace thanks, the website has never been offline (more than a couple of days anyway) are you sure you are using the right url?
http://www.acseac.co.uk
It’s all there still, nothing has been removed.
It’s a shame Gary Fowkes’ ACSEAC pages have vanished, but I’ve contacted a work colleague of his who might be able to help find out if any of Gary’s material still survives. I’ll post any more news to my website and I’ll try to post it here too.
I’m not dead, I’m still hear and so is the website!! I just moved to the other side of the world and not had time to work on the site. I keep telling myself I’m going to kick start the site again and I will, we (the family) are still exploring New Zealand so not had much time.
As Arnie would say I’LL BE BACK!!
