    I agree but airframe hours are important in this case the more hours they have the more time they have but an upgrade would cost

    An upgrade wouldn’t cost more hours and airframe hours, in this case they would make the hours cheaper when upgaraded. It’s just like the Super Hornet, the upgrade receiving makes the super hornet have cheaper hours to fly. But if you build another plane and don’t reduce the flying cost then your planes In trouble, you wouldn’t have enough hours to be receiving flight training. So that’s why they try to reduce the cost so the aircraft can be maintainable with cheaper flying hours.

    Although i think it wouldn’t be a value to put a F135 engine on a falcon. Mabye it may increase it’s allround performance like speed and acceleration. No?

    Question to FA18 : legacy hornet?

    That’s a legacy Hormet. Look at it closley, you can see its small and it doesn’t have big wings and it’s round things i should call it cheeks.

    Your pix is of old one. Did you see the big spine in the old one?. wing area is different, wing folding is different, nose and cockpit is different, engine is different, quad digi fbw is different, weopon stations are different, materials are different. it is like saying F-18C and F-18E has same share of composites and alloys.
    It took LM 30 years and huge investment to put that spine and weights proper for F-16Blk-52+/block 60.

    well from what I understand

    1980s = MiG-29M
    1980s = MiG-29K based on MiG-29M
    1990s = MiG-29M2 two seater based on MiG-29M
    2000s = MiG-29KUB based on MiG-29M2
    2010s = MiG-35 using MiG-29KUB airframe with different avionics cuz they couldn’t get money or support to build the original MiG-35 plans

    Thanks,

    Stevem
