    yes – I presume you knew 7 was a Seafire:D

4 doesn’t appear to have an obvious target in it, so maybe it’s a sub being depthcharged?
6 may well be Barham, don’t think 5 is as it was right over on it’s side when it blew.

I think 9 is a Blackburn Skua (or Roc).
Not sure what 11 is, I don’t think its a CR32, CR42, Swordfish or Gladiator. Don’t know what else it might be.

I’ve had a positive response from the FAA museum, they have a map and will let me know details shortly. Thanks to all who replied.:)

Me too, although I was quite a bit older! I still find it hard to watch even now.
Aliens was a great ‘space marines v bugs’ shoot-em up, 3 was crap, 4 was the most thoughtful so far. But the original was definitely the scariest.

    😮

I’ll say a tentative yes to either location (got a taste for this now), but it’s a long way…anyone flying from Goodwood or Shoreham want to cost share? 😀

That was me. Instructions for use:

    1. Take it in your hand
    2. Close eyes
    3. Move hand slowly back and forth
    4. Use imagination

    😀

Seriously, I got it at the Tangmere aerojumble, the lever and grip/control unit as separate items. The latter may not be Hunter, but it fitted! No idea which airframe.

Ashley, thanks also from myself and Liam, we had a great day, enjoying every bit (except the seats in the Astra)!

Thanks also to whoever gave Liam a book ‘cos he didn’t win anything in the raffle:cool:

Wonder if any of them have done it before? Do FAA pilots get a tie or pin or something for a ditching?:)

Do you mean the last air combat victory of WWII? Two obs. aircraft (Cub and Storch?) fighting with sidearms. The Storch went down damaged.
A guy at Kissimmee told me that story during a hangar tour.
