Some great shots here. Love the Gnat at the end and the B17 could be an air-to-air. Well done, thanks for posting.

American
Probably THE biggest hero of the 20th Century, his name will be remembered so long as there is human history.
Like millions of people all over the world, I sat up well into the night to watch those fuzzy images of Armstrong and Aldrin walk on the moon, surrounded by my Airfix models of the Saturn V and the LEM.
What an achievement for the US and the world – shame the human race hasn’t progressed very much in the 43 years since.
Incidentally, I’m sure there will be a lot of bagpipes lamenting his passing today and tonight both in American and here – Armstrong was of Scottish descent.
RIP Neil Armstrong
Also of German descent, at the end of the day he was an AMERICAN no more no less and will be missed by people of all nationalities
Moon
Very very sad day, I hope America gives him the send off he truly deserves.
R.I.P.
THE bomb
Funny how this thread gets fewer comments than the annual posting critical of the US dropping the atomic bombs.
I’m a huge fan of Japanese people and culture, but what they did during the war to POWs and occupied civilians went beyond any civil strandards.
I don’t think many people on here condemn the US for dropping the bomb,
I for one don’t, after all it was a weapon developed by scientist from all over
the world, not just the US.
Vulcan
That first Vulcan shots a cracker, well done.
