Quite possibly the inter-stellar equivalent of peeing in the snow during a trans-alpine bus journey ?

One thing I can’t get me head round is the time it must take to do something like this, seeing as there’s not much darkness in the summer months:confused:

So M13 is 21.000 light years away, that means the signal traveling at the speed of light will arrive at M13 21.000 years from the day it was sent, so only

I said this back in 05, just change the date to 09.

    Hi.
Bluebird lifting off the water on 4th Jan 67 is something I’ll never forget.
I think it should be restored and taken to coniston water on the above
date in 2007 to complete its ill fated second run, and lay a wreath where
Donald Campbell lost his life. Then put it in a museum with the biggest
union flag as a backdrop to honour a truly great british hero.
    Phil.

I totaly agree with it, at least if they can shoot straight it will stop a lot of innocent bystanders dying when they start killing each other.

Peter Sellers would have made a good SGT Bilko instead of that clown Martin.

great comments and all of them valid ,without doubt Maqueens shoes will be extremely hard to fill, also would it be the same time period (The Sixties) or will they opt for an “Italian Job” modern day setting? that remake fell well short of Michael Caines classicin my opinion, unfortunately Hollywood doesnt seem to take these facts on board, i guess in twenty years or less they will be contemplating a “Star Wars” complete saga remake too ,with todays C.G.I. technology surely in theory, it must be possible to recreate dead actors images and construct a film in that way .or would that be going too far?

I think your spot on with the dead actor’s comment, give it a few years and
the way thing are going it will be possible recreate anybody you want, dead or alive.

Having mentioned the times when Shackletons wore Soviet markings, I thought I would see if readers can remember when Canberras wore Soviet markings? (I bet Les is the first one to get the answer)

Part of this imbalance may be rectified later this year as I understand that in early June the Shackleton Association will be unveiling a new memorial for Coastal Command aircrews at the National Arboretum in Staffordshire.

No further details I’m afraid despite a quick Google search.

As for the Manchester area don’t forget that some Shackleton build was undertaken at the Chadderton factory – but not sure of the city / county border.

I don’t think Chadderton is in Manchester, it’s a couple of miles from oldham Lancashire, not sure how far the factory was from Chadderton center.
    Regards Phil.
