B-17 crash

Thanks for the info. From the research that I have done, I have discovered that apparently two different B-17s crashed in the Blue Mountains. The listings I have found have different ID numbers for the planes, different crash dates, and different numbers of crew fatalities. The strange thing is that I never find both crashes in the same listing or register. Years ago, my high school shop teacher said that he had visited both crash sites and has a propeller he claims he hauled out of one of them. The crash listings I have found only generally describe the location (five miles southeast) so I guess I’ll keep poking around and see if I can come up with more information. Thanks.
