Yesterday look east did a little report on two Lancaster’s shot down near Ely the reporter was standing next to radial engine saying it was from one of the crashed aircraft, apparently they received many emails along the lines of “Lancaster’s had Merlin’s” “Lancaster’s never had radials from Enraged” etc etc so tonight the reporter came back on to explain that a few of the mighty Lanc’s did indeed have Bristol power.
Best to be sure of your facts before slagging of the BBC
Its quite interesting i remember reading some time ago that the Kiwi accent is similar to the way English was spoken a couple of hundred years ago but has changed less than in England, I also find that some word i think of as being uniquely Aussie are used in England but only in a local dialect, Interesting about the origin of Diggers i always assumed it went back to the gold rush days it just go’s to show never assume anything.
To return to the egg’s i haven’t found a double yoke for years
