Thats great thanks
I remember reading somewhere that AVM Bennet would nip over to Germany in a Mossie “against orders” to see how his pathfinders were getting on
So long as we get there that day i will be happy, it will be nice not to have to spend one and a half hours on a bus as well 😉

The thread “The Gatwick viewing area Comet nose” in the commercial forum may shed some light

Well done Qantas
i was able to get a flight from BHX-AGP out Thursday morning back Saturday evening end of Jan for £22.40 return inc tax etc, maybe i was lucky, as i get up for work at 6AM and so was able to get onto the website early.
I think i would rather use Applefares.com:

Well if any of you are ever in the vicinity of Leighterton you may like to pop into the cemetery there and pay your respects to the AFC guys that never went home
O.K have any of you read the book ANZACS over england? after i had read it i was curious to see if you could still see any signs of the old AFC airfields at Leighteton and Minchinhampton so i went over to Gloucestershire a few weeks ago to have a look, i found a few small buildings still standing from the AFC days but in a poor state of repair. now i was thinking how great it would be if you could dismantle one of the small buildings and re-erect it at Point Cook. What do you reckon?
