Skymonster – Is that a turboprop Dakota?
If it’s true, and I have no doubts about A330Crazy’s source, good ole BAA might have gone a step too far. I think action by newspapers might be necessary.
Airliners used to regularly make erroneous approaches for RAF St Athan in South Wales, one almost resulted in a serious incident when a Transwede MD-87 was within a few hundred feet of touching down.
The problem was that the approach into Cardiff-Wales was curved, and the first large piece of concrete pilots would encounter would normally be the airbase.
Hi everyone, Kemble Air Day was a bit of a curate’s egg, the show itself surperb a good mix of everything and a few surprises.
But once again the Met Office was wrong a again and the heavens could not decide on whether to beam bright sunshine, rain or hail upon us, oh, and it would usually do those things when the highlights of the show were displaying, ie Reds, Sea Vixen (very appriopriate!) and the Hawk. I even saw lightning as we left.
All in all though a great start to the airshow season…Well Done Glen and team

Etihad is another of the Middle East’s ‘Premium’ airlines, high quality, good services etc with reletively young fleet. There is a bit of info about them on Pprune.net in the Middle East section. I suspect as with any new airline, it cannot afford a bad reputation expecially so soon after start-up, so it will probably be pretty damn good.
I know it will probably be biast but have you tried the airline’s website as well…

you know what would be really cool? Standing near (not to close mind you) to an old DC-3 starting up, ahhhh for the good old days!
You mean like this one?

Great Pics – good to see Scottish airports doing so well, but it does look like the Air Scotland 757 is having a bit of an identity crisis…
What all this about Jet Provosts, has nobody ever stood next to an F-16 spooling up to taxi out…

Great Pics A330Crazy – I love the Air Baltic scheme – one I haven’t see myself yet, same with the new scheme on EVA Air. 9K-AOB seems to be an uncommon visitor, its sister AOA I think I have snapped about three or four times in my eight visits to LHR in the past year or so.
This is one of two EVA Air MD-11Fs I have got so far…

Not sure how helpful this will be – this is what happens roughly in the Swindon area, wonder if EAL_KING will be able to confirm this for me…
How about a Boeing 737-200 of Britannia Airways a long, long time ago from Dusseldorf or better yet a VC-10 of the Royal Air Force…
This is my favorite civvie one…

and this is currently my favorite military one…

Great Pics there A330Crazy, I really like the Jordanian A340 and especially the Swiss Gulfstream. I am looking to get down to Heathrow on Monday (Day Off Wahay) as the weather looks rather good, 23 degrees, sun and some cloud, perfect.
Thanks Ren Frew, I don’t read Airliner World myself only Aircraft Illustrated, AFM, Flypast, What Digital Camera and Air International 😀
who and where would I send it to?!
Just depends on what magazine you read, Airliner World, Aircraft Illustrated – just send it to the editors, with all your details, and a caption with info about the picture. Magazines don’t use pics off the net, they use what’s sent to them, because they could get in trouble with copyright. Give it a go.
