Good stuff….no matter how many times you see it you keep thinking he might make it!

I know its not ‘cutting edge’ but very enjoyable and a sympathetic portrait of the few…

    🙂

Even though i have no chance of going, i’d say Malta. Not only for the fact theres a Spitfire and Hurricane, but also the completion of the restoration of the Hurricane at the museum there and the new building, and most importantly the sheer fact its Malta, one of the most famous places in aviation history, and one of the most interesting to me, going from on the verge of destruction and defended by a few Gladiators, to attacking the enemy with Beaufighters e.t.c., it should be a film!

    Agreed!

Without a doubt surely the events in Malta has to be this years most significant? Lets face it anyone who puts an airshow on gets a thumbs up from me but to fly a Spit and Hurri all the way to Malta is just fabulous.

I think i will have to book up this weekend!

I do hope the project is going okay? Does anyone know if this event has been confirmed?

The problem with buildings like this one at Cosford and the AAM, Airspace at Duxford and Milestones at Hendon is they are generally designed by people who have no passion in aviation. Another ‘tomb’ to bury our rich heritage in…. 😡

I think the comment was meant as a bit of an ‘Oh well’ rather than emphasis on how unique Sally B is.

Why do I get the feeling that she wil be grounded for some time… 🙁

Sorry if ive missed this but where do these new ‘regulations’ (don’t remember these going through parliment?) leave the Vulcan to the sky project?

I do hope Sally B can get sorted out, this year of all years. Cant the USAF run her in a similar way to BBMF run the Lanc?

Im visiting Duxford on Sunday and will be sure to pay the stand a visit. The whole thing is so frustrating im struggleing to containmy anger 😡

I predict lots of civil unrest if the Immigration issue isnt bought under control. Don’t get me wrong I welcome people who can contribute, my close circle of friends have origins from all over the world but its the ones who sneek in and don’t ‘play the game’ who cause the most trouble.

Theres a bloke ‘eastern european’ who cleans windows in our street. Needless to say he in no way ‘contributes’ to our system. (dont worry i asked. Hes not even insured).

Sadly I dont feel we are a multi-cultural society. Watch the activity this year surrounding VE Day, it will be interesting to see what sort of coverage it gets. Sadly I feel it will be low key…incase we offend anyone 🙁

They were hoping to have her on the ‘curcuit’ last year, it will be well worth the wait! 😀

Interesting how the Spitfire has now gone and they have now aquired the Mustang. I wonder what the ‘thinking’ behind that was? (Just Curious 😮 )

Hoping to get up to Breighton for an open day this year!

Chailey, Biggin Hill, last year absolutly amazing…. Brietling Fighters also quite possibly the best thing ive seen at an airshow.

Also a very friendly chap and a delight to talk too.

Indeed sad when he stops flying but my word what moments hes given us all. Thats what i’ll be remembering!
