Well I was being sarcastic, and Hornby always get it right now don’t they Russ?
Also if you are accusing me of being an ‘Osprey expert’ you are very wide of the mark.
😀
Jess, my apologies I didn’t read you comment as sarcasm.
Never said Hornby always get it right, not sure who does in any walk of life.
Can’t see where I have reffered to you directly as an ‘Osprey Expert’ I don’t even know you.
I was just trying to put some additional perspective on the model.
So that’s OK then.
I don’t think so…
I think its fair to add it was released 5 years ago in case people thought it was a new release from Corgi who are now owned by Hornby.
From my experiance some of these so called ‘experts’ seem to buy a few Osprey books and because its in a book its correct!
Back to the thread, not only is the codes/nose art incorrect the camo looks somewhat bright too. Ashame, maybe Corgi/Hornby might do a re release and do this aeroplane justice!
New PC for my flight sims! (anytips appreciated!)
Seen a private plate on flea-bay which reads T8BMF (Reads BBMF)…Do fancy that for me motor! 🙂
Spitfire was HAC’s MKVB BM597
Any idea why the Kent spitfire that is based at Biggin, is not taking part, I would of thought that this would be ideal to display in its front garden.
Yeap…In a word snubbed by the organisors.
An article in Aeroplane said that the Haulage company hadn’t secured her properly and was damaged on its way to Hendon. It’s gone to Cosford for some further repairs.
🙁
An interesting story and many thanks for John for sharing his story with us, For me any Warbird pilot gets my full respect. I’m sure there were more happy moments for you John than the ‘low points’
I’ve only followed the Warbird scene for a few years now but whats the story behind the ‘Belgium’ scheme?
Shocking! 😮
Hi Roobarb,
Sadly can’t help but thanks for posting the pic…most exciting that another Buchon is in the ‘wings’
Good luck with the request…I’m sure the forum will come up trumps!:)
“They can’t take the Spitfires Mitch, They can’t take them!”
Love it!
One thing i’m sure we are all agreed on, we sure are lucky *******s having the likes of mr grey putting his hand in his pocket to keep us entertained.
I’d like to second that, Mr Grey and all the other private operators, volunteers and support staff….
They won best display on Saturday but their Sunday display was even better, I guess the nicer weather must have aided the routine? (Nort being a pilot I don’t know how crucial this would have been?)
Anyway, well done Nigel and Paul a great display and great to see OFMC, I am sure they will get more bookings on the back of this weekends work.
Its ashame they don’t do the conventions or the Tigers Club anymore, perhaps they may reinstate these in the future.
Put the outlaws on the ‘Focker’s table’ 😀
Just kidding, nice idea…good luck with the big day!
Wow that Comet is amazing!
All looks ‘Double-Dutch’ to me.
