From the past… simply stunning.! (copyright Keith Hamshere).

Hi all, has anyone any idea when this spit is going to be back in the air? Has Hull aero finished the wings yet?

    Hurricane finds

Hi all, the second picture on the top has what looks like a sump plug or something, I have one the same from a hurricane that crashed on bembridge down on the isle of wight. Found it about 10 years ago while out with the metal detector. Unfortunatly the pilot bailed out too low and was killed.

Hull Aero the fuselage, Airframe Assemblies the tailunit ( completed) and wings. Retro track and air the engine and prop. I have pics but need to get permisiion from Peter to show. ARCO will be overhauling all the systems components ready to complete the fit out. I understand the fuselage and tail will be at ARCO/ Duxford by the end of July, wings planned for April next year.

Yes I know Ralph is doing the fuse because i was with him & Peter at hendon looking at their MK1/MKV when I was getting info to do Historic’s MK1. Would like to see how far Ralph has got with the fuse.

There’s one more. Peter Monk’s MK1 X4650 is well underway with the fuselage nearly complete and the wings not far behind. Knowing Peter Monk this will be the most authentic rebuild and hold, by far, the most original parts out of all the projects.
The registration, I understand, will be released soon.

Hi BofB whos doing the rebuild on this one ?

Hi all, whilst on the subject does anyone know when the name “sylvia k” disappeared from the port cockpit combing skin of TB382 ? Raymond Baxter had the name painted on the side because his wife or girl friend was called sylvia. Was it painted over or removed compleatly? any takers on this !!!

It was indeed involved in a fatal accident but the damaged airframe was recovered to the UK and is now being converted into the first Tr.16 as G-PBIX for Pemberton-Billing LLC by Airframe Assemblies at Sandown

Hi all, just a correction here, RW382 is not being converted into a T16 or a T9, but is in restoration at AA.

I understand the aircraft flew out of Thruxton to Lambourn, Berks yesterday. I’m told that Pete John and Robs Lamplough were the crew for the ferry flight and it is indeed heading for the Filton area at some point.

I think the same crew that look after Robs MK VIII are doing the same for this one.
