AIP Showing it as Taxiway Alpha, no runway officially there now, so i doubt it would be allowed to be used.

Maybe the PIC was trying to get home faster, as he could hear a piercing voice in the cabin, asking silly questions, like where will the sun set, how long with this plane hold together cos it could be old, does it have leather toilet cushins…

Maybe you should be blaming the government though……its not really the airlines fault.

Which I am! But to be told just because you don’t, or can’t pay the extra charge, and be told you have no flight, i’d be very very unhappy at this!!

My word, the government really are torn on this subject. The only way the UK can work by rail, is if high-speed railways are built, that can take speeds of TGV or ICE proportions, and Rod Eddington has told the government not to bother with this project!

And with the rise in fares at the turn of the year, all the Train Operating Companies and Network Rail have done, is to detter more people from traveling by rail. It can be cheaper sometimes to fly than use the Railways.

Desptie the fact that i use the rail system, on a weekly or daily basis, its absoultley crap compared to the likes of many European systems, notably the Swiss!
It took me 5hrs to get home from Liverpool by train on Wednesday, when it could have taken 90 mins by car. So that meant i could have flown LPL-GVA-LPL, in the time it took.

The only way the government can make the system work, is by Nationalising it, but with some Franchises lasting well into 2 decades away, i don’t see this happening any time soon. Now, please tell me why the Tories did it?!? 😮

SWA do have a row of seats that face backwards, but they are only in their Classic 737’s i believe. In a Magazine on SWA, it said that they don’t have them on the 73G for comfort reasons 🙁

But who cares if you are bussed or given an airbrige??
Does it make you sway towards choosing an airline, if you feel so degraded that you are being bussed to your aircraft??

Next time i get bussed to an aircraft, i’ll complain to the operating company, in fact i’ll write to Zoom asking them why the hell i was given a bus to get to Terminal two after a 9hr flight from Vancouver back in March!

And if i’m bussed next Sunday, i’ll write to Jet2 to complain.

    Sorry, but who cares!!
