    Agreed.
Basing a 757 or two at EDI for example would have netted BA a good profit. As you say, CO have proven its viablility.
I think BA should be renamed to London Airways. LOL

Its sad that there isn’t one single British airline that serves the majority of our large airports for Longhaul. Whatever airline decided to do that would rake in the cash!

LOL I’m sure one of the proposals the Board will give to Mr Walsh as his 1st task, is to look into the posibillity of rebranding to London Airways :p

I think bmi have blown the chance of making MAN into an viable “replacement” hub for the UK, but as Mark says, its more viable for BA, to take us down to LHR, and throw us in a Boeing (In a good way lol!)

Phew we got that one sorted:D 😉
I Think BA have lost the long haul boat in the regions sadly. I’m quite sure a few 75’s @ GLA, and BHX to JFK would have been a nice little earner, and we have seen CO capitalize on this.
But i’m sure BA know what they are doing lol

What i was trying to say is that SQ and EK offer services in the regions eg, MAN,BHX,GLA and SQ @ MAN.

:EDIT: And yes i do know that the franchises are not directly under Mainline control 😎

How do the regional services come into play versus SQ or EK?

    For goodnes sake, nothing!
All i was saying is that the regions has suffered so BA can cut costs, and increase revenue
And anyway, SQ and EK do more effort in the regions than BA do
