They might have changed since i last flew um in 1999, but my 2 trips within the US with um (97 and 99) were very pleasant!
The aircraft i got werent too bad, 767,F100,727,757,MD80, and by now 2 of those have left the fleet.

PIA have been a major force in long haul for MAN as well, and are considered a VERY important customer of the airport!

Change that to “a VERY important customer for Shell!” 😀

If the 757 is only leased over the summer period, will it be financially viable to reconfigure it?!
Personally i don’t see BD doing this, as it will be too costly.
If BD do install PTV’s etc then all the best to them, but tbh i see this as the start of the end of bmi l/h @ MAN

But i think it would be better for UAL to take over the route myself. Its ovbioust bmi are not interested doing MAN-IAD anymore. Infact, i’m not too sure if they want to stat at MAN, is VS gets the Carribean routes, and LAS does not continue to next winter, ORD is the only route that could be left.
We know bmi would rather fly from LHR, so their just picking any routes they can now, and Sandy, my IAD flight back in 2003, was fully and overbooked for 6 whole days. OK that might have been in the summer, but all i’m saying is if they don’t wanna fly IAD, just come out and say it
