My brother’s family in law were on that very same DC-10 but on Friday as it flew MYT241 to TFS!
G-FBED lookin nice too Mr Casey!
Simply stunning, ah strange seeing Pier C with no satallite, and those were the days of BA long haul aircraft peppering the terminal daily! Sadly I wasn’t alive during those times!:(
Indeed!
I have to say its incredible that there were no fatalities!!

No doubt this was another planned attack on our country.
Might be linked with the London plots of the last few days, or it was someone who had the same idea and thought “oooh i’ll do that!”
Once again, our lives will become ruled by these people, who want to disrupt our lives.
Are flights still suspended?? I take it that PIK and EDI are taking all the diversons.

Superb there! Really brings back memories of my two visits! 🙂
Superb report! I really want to try JBU’s product one day!
Just to clarify, Elgan, it was Phixer who voiced that opinion, not me. 😉
Paul
Oh sorry Paul! Thought it was you :p I can read……believe me….!
In my opion, global warmin is not man-made. It is a natual proces, like a bigger version of our yearly seasons.
Your sort of right as i’ve just done an exam on Glaciation which notes this, but its man who is to blame for its acceleration. Planes are a major contributor to CO2 emittions and we all know that.
So if you don’t care what the future holds, then I agree with Phixer that you are irresponsibe and careless. Just look what has happened in Yorkshire and the Midlands these last two days. That will happen on a regular basis, if we do not cut down on CO2 emittions, and for one, I praise Easyjet for contibuting into the stern challenge that is to cut CO2 emittions.
Only once i’ve been told to stow away my camera, and that was on last years flight from LAS to SFO. I was warned that it might fly off my hand, even though the strap was around my hand very tight! So nothing to do with interference!
Once the attendant had taken her seat, it was back out again :diablo:
And on the opposite side of the scale, the attendant on my Valley-Cardiff legs encouraged the use of cameras! :p

Back to the Cornish fellows though, I gather their main gripe is having well heeled celebs like Jamie Oliver and Rick Stein setting up restaurants and holiday homes amongst them, forcing the property prices up, and therefore pricing the locals out of the market.
Having witnessed the same thing along the Argyll and Hebridean coasts and heartlands, they have my sympathy entirely. Last time I was in Ullapool t’was difficult to find a local accent. I daresay the Breton cousins are feeling the pinch too.. ?
Same happeing here in my village in Wales (Snowdonia). 2nd homes account for nearly 50% of the housing and minimum price for a 1 bedroom terraced house, is £125,000. As someone who has lived in this village all my life, it looks like i’ll be forced out due to the fact that I cannot afford to purchase my own house once I leave University, as outsiders come in, mostly from South East England, purchase a house, then they bog off for 10 months of the year. Its a hot topic here, and in most Welsh villages, and I know how my Celtic Cousins feel about this! Same is happening in the Lakes, so I feel sorry for them too! It really is a depressing situation.
Language is also a factor here, but I won’t go into that!

Superb report! I’ll be back in NYC for the 1st time since 1997 in Sept, tho won’t be touching an aircraft within the U.S, its by train i’m doing my 3 week trek!
AA are a great airline and they used to be our 1st choice during the 1990’s, but it seems that its UA I always fly now in the U.S due to their alliance with bmi!
Superb screenies since I was last here!
I’ve just departed Manc, on EK20 to Dubai, using the Meljet model, merged with the PSS panel!

Going thru some TS’s over Germany now, should be in Dubai within the 5 hour mark.
