Will somebody explain to me what ‘closure’ is?
We didn’t have it in my day. It seems to be a new concept that is mandatory for televised victims rellies.
Moggy
I’ll explain “Closure” if you explain “Rellies” 😉
I agree with Tornado. He could have given the locations of his victims bodies years ago and at least given the familes a chance to bury them properly and hopefully find some closure. IMHO the Bxxstard is in no position to ask for anything.

Yeah, I reckon a Percival Q6, or Petrel as it was known in the RAF.
Oh, that’s good. 🙂
Done.
I seem to recall Monty Python had him living out his days in a boarding house in Weymouth?

Pretty enjoyable read, although the obsession with Bill Waterton spoils it slightly IMHO. Think I got mine at Tesco for £2.99.

With all paintings and photos isn’t it the image that is important? How it is produced is irrelevant.
I agree, which is why I think so many so-called “art lovers” are basically pretentious types, who really only acquire these things as an investment, or to say to the world (to quote another Harry Enfield character) “I am considerably richer than yow” Nothing wrong with an investment, but I wish they wouldn’t try to dress it up as something more noble or arty. A true art lover, who really appreciated the composition, idea, etc, would surely be just as happy with a cheap, simple print. As for the argument it’s worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it, well yes up to a point, but just because one individual is prepared to pay Monopoly money for something, doesn’t really make it “worth” that much in the generally accepted use of that term. I collect model kits, but if I were to pay (say) £20K for an Airfix Fergie it would not really mean that Fergies were now “worth” £20K; no one else would pay that kind of money, just laugh at me for having done so.

As PeeDee says, don’t trust Ebay. Scammers paradise now, and Ebay just aren’t interested in looking after sellers.

Not everyone’s cup of tea, but in an age of almost instant and meaningless “celebrity” he was a genuine one-off with an amazing life story. RIP.
