IIRC the one I have was narrated by Michael Dean.

Appreciate the moments. You can’t go back, but you can appreciate what you have right now, and define yourself by what you are, instead of what you’re not. You’re alive. Everything else is negotiable.

IIRC there was an interview with Honeysuckle Weeks in the Saturday supplement of the DM a couple of weeks ago and she said that it was filmed in the Dublin area as the city still resembles London of the late 1940s and thus avoiding modern landmarks such as the ‘gerkin’

. I still can’t see by what criteria they should be included in the top 10 worldwide airshows.
As I said my suggestions were my personal opinion from personal experience. I Know this wont be to everyones taste. Clearly it isn’t yours. If we are judging this list on certain criteria, do you have a list of the criteria that the original list was judged on
As I said these kinds of lists are one mans/groups opinion and are not to everyone’s taste. Everyone has their own ‘Top Ten’ which may or may not agree with someone else’s as already been proven with the suggestion, although no specific show mention, of the lack of shows ‘Down Under’

Along with reports made on this forum and purely personal experience from visits to Eastbourne and Shoreham and in the case of the latter as a spectator and exhibitor, along with a friend displaying his LWB Land Rover FFR. They the first to came to mind.
You could argue the Shuttleworth shows with its unique display of vintage/WWI aircraft could be on the list. Although as implied by DragonflyDH90 these kind of lists are always down to someones personal preference which wont be to everyones taste
Yes I agree. Not surprised at Oshkosh being at the top. but was surprised that Bournemouth made the list and none of the Duxford shows or Shoreham and Eastbourne didnt make the list. Or even, though Bi-annually, Farnborough/Paris Airshows

She was interviewed by Raymond Baxter in a BBC TV programme called, I think, “Spitfire !” in the early 80’s, with AB910. I have it on tape somewhere. Could be on YouTube if you look.
Here: Spitfire!
It was filmed in 1976 and has been shown a few times since. The Interview with Margaret Horton is at 48:20.

Sad news. There are only three left, Ian Lavender (Pike), Frank Williams (the vicar) and Bill Pertwee (Warden Hodges)
