Hope to see all of the TFC Grumman Cats at Legends this year. What are the chances of seeing the Two UK based Gladiators in the air at the same time?

I would have thought that it would have parked outside the old terminal to save space for the EasyJet’s and Aer Lingus aircraft at the new terminal.

Happy to see the Wildcat has it’s prop back on. Engine runs soon?

Glad to hear the sabre has its engine back. I’m looking forward to seeing it fly again this year!

Great photos David. It’s a shame to see the SNJ-5 going. It can’t be long now until the Ambassador is finished?

It’s a beautiful aircraft. It’s just a shame that she is not fitted with a Centaurus.

However, the more propeller blades you have the more drag you are creating. Therefor the more blades you have the larger and more powerful engine you would have. Eg. Spitfire Mk.I’s had two and three blade propellers while the XIX has five.

Yes Mk.I’s and V’s have three blade props.

AB910 is currently with ARCo at Duxford so hopefully it will emerge with a three blade prop again.

It appears to be a Hamilton Standard propeller. Though I could be wrong.

So the council thinks it became “jaded” and most people like the fast jet displays? So why don’t/didn’t the council book fast jet displays in recent years such as Hawker Hunters, Sea Vixen or foreign displays? Surly it would create some variety and it would have become more interesting and less “jaded”.

Thanks for the pics David. It’s good to see its undercarriage down after so many years!
