    Had a close up look at the lysander on Saturday. It’s a stunning aircraft. Shame to hear about the staggerwing but it looks easily repairable. I haven’t seen two staggerwing’s display together before.

    If found it good that they flew them together for a tribute to Howard Pardue. I’m sure he would have enjoyed that. Im sure it brought a lump in the throat and tear in the eye for many people.

    Unfortunately the Biggin Hill Spitfire MK.I X4650 will not be at Duxford this weekend 🙁

    As reported on the UKAR forum. The boss was to take the corsair out for a flight but that didn’t happen so he flew the Spitfire V instead.

    The same concept applies with the yak family of aircraft:

    Yak 1
    Yak 9
    Yak 3

    The Yak 9 came befor the yak 3.

    I have been attending LEgends since 2005 and I must admit the show has drawn more and more people each year so that must say that the show and participants are getting better.

    RE: Pricing is high because it’s a single company who organise it. You must remember that they have to make some money aswell.

    The IWM list is not the official. As alsways we won’t know the full participation untill a few days before when we start to see the arrivals.

    Sad to see the CR.42 leave,Hopefully bound for vintage fabrics. I bet things will start to heat up at Duxford this week.
