the hawk had to cut it’s display short due to it’s Ram Air Turbine being deployed on it’s last monuver. It’s deployed due to the lack of air intake to the engine ie. in an engine failure.

I think if I was in that same situation and saw that happening I probably do the same.

I don’t know. Maybe it is having work on it??

The Sea Fury G-RNHF must have been flying though Duxford on it’s way back to Yeovilton to join the rest of the RNHF fleet.

As we are on the Historic forum I wish to add that the Spitfire is coming from OFMC and the Mustang from Hangar 11.

Unfortunately the Sabre won’t be their as the engine is over in the US for some maintenance. It has been replaced by Jet Provost XW324.

Do you know why they were all their? It can’t just be coincidental.

I would say the Hawker Sea Fury. It is one of only a few aircraft that has scored a kill againsed a Jet. It can be deck run from a carrier, can be equipedd with Guns,Drop Tanks and bombs. It’s extremly fast for a prop aircraft (some say it handles like a Jet) and apparently it’s pretty easy to fly.

It’s a shame the Hawker Fury won’t make it to the May airshow 🙁 Hopefully it will be in the air in time for Legends. Fingers crossed.
