Have the HFL/Gannet team been in contact with Various museums? Normally they have spares and tools for different aircraft.

I think it along with the B-29 turret have been removed to allow the various B-17 parts to be monuvered back in to AAM.

i thought the pilot could lower/raise the gear manually by winding a lever so they will go down if there is an issue with the landing gear lever/switch.

But to compensate this TFC do conduct hangar shuffles every so often to give them a mix around in the hangar and to fly them, especially now when they are coming out of their winter maintenance.
