Now now Phil, I obviously seem to have misunderstood the title of this thread then because I was under the impression it had something to do with having my own thoughts. Ah I know where I went wrong, I made the mistake of having my own thoughts, big mistake in this country that one.

Before righteous indignation perhaps a perfunctory check of what was actually said might be in order. Think whatever you like my outraged friend I asked for your opinion and if you had cared to read my ‘question’, you would have seen that.

Oh look. Here it is again seeing as you obviously missed it the first time around.

What would you suggest in its stead? What is Mickey Mouse about it? The RAF reckon they are onto a winner with it so why does your opinion outweigh theirs?

Go to the back of the class.

Smug, smarmy, grinning little c**t and I’d love to slot the arrogant lying streak of p!ss with his own ‘policy’ documents.

I think I’d rather not remember ‘it’ at all.

Binned the Eurofighter “Mickey Mouse” Typhoon for a proper aeroplane.

Established a unified Euro-Wehrmacht, get defense spending to an obligatory 3.5% of GDP in each member state. Get conventional forces set up around the idea of global rapid strategic deployability and mobility. Nuclear forces centered on a few dozen smaller SSBN. Able to vanquish all conventional enemys, deter the nuclear armed ones by nuclear means only.

You’ll need some sort of an agreement on something first.

. More money for retention (ie pay, benefits, bonus etc).

. More troops to ease the strain of the current operational tempo (some British troops are spending years on operational tours with just a few weeks in between to touch base with friends and family.

. Retain and reinforce the regimental system.

. Cut out the PC crap.

. Stop retiring perfectly good kit before a replacement is in place and operational (Sea Harriers, Jaguars, warships, etc)

. More battlefield support and transport helicopters.

. A much cheaper nuclear deterrent if at all one really is required.

. Make sure that the new CVFs do actaully enter service and with full capability rather than a cut price one.

. Full bulid of at least 14 Type 45 destroyers with expanded capability.

    . New frigate project.

Either that or just withdraw from the world stage and have done with it.

So what makes you think that a petition will persuade this particular bunch of turkeys to vote for an early Christmas in the first place? 😎

How many MPs do you think really want the great unwashed to know what their expenses claims look like? Hmmm?

Maybe it won’t make any difference so whats wrong with wasting another 2 minutes after wasting hours on these forums anyway?

If it is just for air policing 4 to 8 aircraft will be more than enough. No expeditionary or offensive expectations are likely and the current system requires 4 to 8 NATO aircraft to be made available at all times. This is currently shared by (I think) all NATO signatories. Who is providing the cover at the moment?

    A scam is it?

In 650,000 years the carbon content in the atmosphere has not reached 300 parts per million………………….and then it did, in the last 20 years and it is rising fast.

    Scam or coincidence?

None of the above. It is human accelerated global warming.

You’re going to have a very pasty complexion when you have finally pulled you head out of the sand.
