If it was about the time of the Jubilee it could have been Canadian or Australian F18s taking part in the flypast. ??????????
When did RAF end its Canberra operations?
I was gonna say they still fly PR models but Arthur beat me to it. Damn. I nearly answered one.

OK, if it’s 40:0, seahawk, that’s gotta be some stinking cough. cough. bull.
Don’t be so sure young Padawan, the Israelis know what they are doing better than most.
No criticisms are meant, hope no offence was taken, none was intended and in any case you have a good point. Its called network-centric warfare and the US are masters of it, the Brits are getting pretty good at it too and it is the way forward. Its all about fighting as a team, air to air combat has evolved and its not about one on one skill at arms anymore though that does have its place.:)
Don’t know mate but its not the first time this question has been asked. A short while ago the USAF exercised with the IDF-AF and the Israelis were quite happy to publish the perceived results. I have asked RAF Tornado F3 pilots how they fare and the best answer I get is ‘we do well enough’ but no specifics. I ask this question because I assume that RAF Tornado F3s get regularely ‘trounced’ by the F15s of the USAF but apparently this is not at all the case.
I know that the Royal Navy published some reports in around 1980 about mock combats between RN Sea Harrier FRSMk1s and Alconbury ‘Aggressor’ F5Es of USAFE and later in the year against USAFE F15As from Bitburg. The figures quoted were in Sea Harrier over the Falklands by Nigel Ward (Sharkey to his mates). The SHARs got a 3 to 1 kill ratio against the Eagles and it was even greater against the Tiger IIs. Ward reckoned that the lower kill ratio against the F15s was due to the Eagles BVR capabilities.
You can get the book here if you are interested.

Good for the Brits, but my point was that American and other western defence industries are hiring Russian companies to do some work for them, and vice versa, so there is transfer of technology, which is increasingly bluring the line between east and west.
I hope so, that kind of co-operation makes me feel safer.
………..i resemble that comment. HIC!:D

I just bought a Fujifilm S5000. If I was to hanker after another camera I think the wife might try to kill me.
